Investigating the Application of Self-determination Theory in Increasing the Organizational Commitment of Knowledge-based Employees

Abstract
Researchers recently have focused on integrating motivation and commitment models and presenting common models. This research, for the first time, presents an integrated model of motivation (Self-Determination Theory) and commitment (Three Component Model of Meyer and Allen), from a person-centered view. This study was carried out using two-step cluster analysis method including hierarchical method and optimization of the profiles distance on 306 knowledge workers of four Iranian organizations.
