One of the major problems with projects is that they are not completed according to schedule. Uncertainty always exists at the heart of real-world project scheduling problems. This paper introduces a fuzzy project buffer management (FPBM) algorithm which is a combination of the adaptive procedure with resource tightness (APRT) and fuzzy failure mode and effects analysis (FFMEA) methods. Abstract
This paper evaluates the error propagation and its effects in babbling idiot failure in a FlexRay-based network. The evaluation is based on about 35680 bit-flip fault injections inside different parts of the FlexRay communication controller. To do this, a FlexRay communication controller is modeled by Verilog HDL at the behavioral level. Then, this controller is exploited to setup a FlexRay-based network composed of four nodes. Nodes in this experiment are considered in two forms: 1) node without bus guardian, 2) node with bus guardian. Abstract
The welding behavior of the Fe-Co-7 wt% V ultra-thin foils was examined using the Nd:YAG laser welding method. Scanning electron microscopy and electron backscattered diffraction were used to investigate microstructural changes and fracture mechanism of the weld joints. Tensile test and microhardness measurement were employed in order to study the mechanical behaviors of the welds. Microstructural observations indicated that a bimodal grain size distribution is seen in the fusion zone. It was found that the fracture surfaces of the welds consist of both cleavage sites and dimples. This research aims to investigate the effect of pulsed Nd:YAG laser micro-welding on the microstructure, texture and magnetic properties of ultra-thin Fe-Co-7.15 wt% V magnetic alloy. Optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and electron backscattered diffraction techniques were used to study the microstructural evolutions. Also, vibrating sample magnetometry was used to characterize the magnetic properties. Ce-doped ZnO nanocomposite thin films with Ce/Zn ratio fixed at optimum value (10 at.%) have been prepared via sol-gel method at different annealing temperatures varied from 180 to 500 °C. The synthesized samples were characterized employing atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. According to AFM analysis, the average grain size increased from about 70 nm to 150 nm by increasing the annealing temperature from 300 to 500 °C. In this investigation, the effect of annealing temperature and concentration of gold nanoparticles on the photoelectrochemical properties of sol-gel deposited Au : TiO2 nanocomposite thin films is studied. Various gold concentrations have been added to the TiO2 thin films and their properties are compared. All the deposited samples are annealed at different temperatures.
