    An audio band low voltage CT-ΔΣ modulator with VCO-based quantizer

    Abstract
    This paper presents the design and implementation of a low power, low voltage, continuous time delta sigma modulator for audio band in 90 nm CMOS technology. A VCO-based integrator and quantizer are used. Inherent dynamic element matching (DEM) of the quantizer eliminates the need for explicit DEM logic which results in a short excess-delay and power saving. Simulation results show that the modulator achieves 78 dB SNDR and 87 dB SNR in a 20 kHz input bandwidth and dissipates 106 μW from 1 V supply.     In this paper, a continuous review inventory system is considered in which an order in a batch of size Q is placed immediately after the inventory position reaches R. Transportation time is constant and demands are assumed to be generated by a stationary Poisson process with one unit demand at a time. Demands not covered immediately from the inventory are backordered. In a recent paper, the exact evaluation of batch-ordering policies for two-level inventory systems was derived. This evaluation is based on a recursive procedure for determining the exact policy costs in case of one-for-one replenishment policies.     In this study, a novel three-dimensional continuous-time integrated guidance and control (IGC) scheme is presented. The proposed method is developed on the basis of generalized model predictive control (GMPC) approach and super-twisting extended state observer (STESO).     We consider a class of continuous-Time hybrid dynamical systems that correspond to subgradient flows of a piecewise linear and convex potential function with finitely many pieces, and which includes the fluid-level dynamics of the Max-Weight scheduling policy as a special case. We study the effect of an external disturbance/perturbation on the state trajectory, and establish that the magnitude of this effect can be bounded by a constant multiple of the integral of the perturbation. © 1963-2012 IEEE

    We investigate the problem of practical output regulation: Design a controller that brings the system output in the vicinity of a desired target value while keeping the other variables bounded. We consider uncertain systems that are possibly nonlinear and the uncertainty of the linear part is modeled element-wise through a parametric family of matrix boxes. An optimization-based design procedures is proposed that delivers a continuous-time control and estimates the maximal regulation error. We also analyze an event-triggered emulation of this controller, which can be implemented on a digital platform, along with an explicit estimates of the regulation error. IEEE

    Abstract
    This paper reports transistor-level design of a new continuous-time (CT), discrete-time (DT) cascaded sigma delta modulator (SDM). The combination of a CT first stage and a DT second stage was utilized to realize a high speed, high resolution analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Power consumption of CT first stage is lowered by optimizing the gain coefficients of CT integrators in a feedforward topology. Moreover double sampling (CDS) was used in second stage integrators to further reduce power consumption. Proposed new SDM is simulated in 0.18μm CMOS technology and achieves 84dB dynamic range for a 10MHz signal bandwidth. Total analog power dissipation measured was 44mW

    Abstract
    In this research study, chaos control of continuous time systems has been performed by using dynamic programming technique. In the first step by crossing the response orbits with a selected Poincare section and subsequently applying linear regression method, the continuous time system is converted to a discrete type. Then, by solving the Riccati equation a sub-optimal algorithm has been devised for the obtained discrete chaotic systems. In the next step, by implementing the acquired algorithm on the quantized continuous time system, the chaos has been suppressed in the Rossler and AFM systems as some case studies

    The staggered quantum walk is a type of discrete-time quantum-walk model without a coin which can be generated on a graph using particular partitions of the graph nodes. We design Hamiltonians for potential realization of the staggered dynamics on a two-dimensional lattice composed of superconducting microwave resonators connected with tunable couplings.
