    Abstract
    The surface defluorination of Teflon in powdery form was performed using a chemical treatment. The reaction parameters including the reaction time, sodium, naphthalene concentrations were optimized using a Taguchi method to obtain maximum functionality on the particles surface. The surface functionality of the treated particles was analyzed by FTIR, energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and surface energy. Both treated (g-PTFE) and untreated (PTFE) Teflon were added to polyamide 66 (PA66) at various loadings up to 6 wt%.     Abstract
    We have studied the effect of negative chemical pressure in the RuGd 1.5(Ce 0.5-xPr x)Sr 2Cu 2O 10-δ with Pr content of 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2. This is also investigated using the bond length results obtained from the Rietveld refinement analysis. The c parameter and cell volume increase with x for 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15. The width of the resistivity transition also increases with Pr concentration, indicating higher inhomogeneity and oxygen deficiency. The difference in the ionic valences of Pr 3+,4+ and Ce 4+ causing different hole doping, the difference in the ionic radii, and oxygen stoichiometry affect the superconducting transition.     Abstract
    Lanthanum hydroxide (La(OH)3) nanostructures, including elliptical nanoparticles, octahedral rods and irregular nanoparticles were prepared chemically in NaOH and KOH solutions with 10 M concentration. The obtained powders were characterized with XRD, SEM, TEM and DTA. Crystallinities, morphologies and thermal behavior of the obtained nanostructure powders were investigated under the influence of above mentioned solvents. The effect of chemical's temperature was also determined in one of the solvents (i.e. NaOH). The formation of growth in nanostructure mechanism under the influence of alkali solutions (i.e., KOH and NaOH) have been discussed considerably in this paper

    Abstract
    In the present research work the binary NiTi alloys with various compositions in the range of 50.3-51 at.% Ni were used. Samples have been annealed at 850 °C for 15 min and then quenched in water. In order to characterize transformation temperatures and enthalpy changes of the forward and the reverse martensitic transformation, Differential Scanning Calorimetric (DSC) experiments were performed. The enthalpy and entropy changes as a function of Ni atomic content have been thermodynamically investigated.     Abstract
    In this study, the mechanisms of passing water and salt ions through nanoporous single-layer graphene membrane are simulated using classical molecular dynamics. The effects of functional groups placed in nanopores and feed water's salt concentration on water desalination are investigated. In order to understand the role of functional groups in desalination process, Methyl, Ethyl and a combination of Fluorine and Hydrogen molecules are distributed around the nanopores. In all cases, different number of functional molecules is employed in order to find an optimum distribution of the groups at hand.     Abstract
    The morphological characteristics as well the optical properties of Ca-doped BiFeO3 films grown by pulsed-laser deposition technique have been investigated. AFM images revealed that calcium has a radical effect on the surface features of BiFeO3 films. By utilizing spectrophotometer, transmission behaviour of the films was investigated. Local IV characteristics of the films disclosed about three orders of magnitude enhancement concerning electrical conductivity through Ca doping. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results revealed that Ca can reduce the valence state of iron in the compound
