    Abstract
Nickel oxide (NiOx) is a promising hole transport material in inverted organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells. However, its low intrinsic conductivity hinders its further improvement in device performance. Here, we employ a trimercapto-s-triazine trisodium salt (TTTS) as a chelating agent of Ni2+ in the NiOx layer to improve its conductivity. Due to the electron-deficient triazine ring, the TTTS complexes with Ni2+ in NiOx via a strong Ni2+-N coordination bond and increases the ratio of Ni3+:Ni2+. The increased Ni3+ concentration adjusts the band structure of NiOx, thus enhancing hole density and mobility, eventually improving the intrinsic conductivity of NiOx. As a result,...

    Abstract
Multiband absorption is the interest of the microwave communities due to several applications in sensing, filtering, and stealth. Usually, the stacking of metal and dielectric multilayered structures form a multiband absorber which makes the device bulky and costly. In this paper, we investigate a multiband absorber based on a single-layered fractal metasurface for the 5G applications. The unit cell of the fractal metasurface is comprised of six ring-shaped symmetric split-ring resonators (SRRs) connected back-to-back with each other. The absorptivity is investigated in the 5G microwave regime (22–36 GHz) for various obliquities at different substrate thicknesses. Simulation results show...

    Abstract
Reliability of routing mechanisms in wireless networks is typically measured with Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR). Basically, PDR is reported with an optimistic assumption that the topology is fully constructed, and the nodes have started their packet transmission. This is despite the fact that prior to being able to transmit packets, nodes must first join the network, and then try to keep connected as much as possible. This is a key factor in the overall reliability provided by the routing protocols, especially in mobile IoT applications, where disconnections occur frequently. Nevertheless, there is a lack of appropriate metrics, which could evaluate the routing mechanisms from this...

    Abstract
Low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) with low-noise performance are critical components in communication systems. However, reaching a high level of performance is difficult. This study introduces a LNA for radio frequency front-end receivers with a frequency range of 6–12 GHz. The planned LNA contains a two-stage high-electron-mobility transistor cascade amplifier with a minimum measured noise figure of 0.8 dB and a peak gain of 25 dB at room temperature. The proposed LNA is based on a gallium arsenide field-effect transistor transistor (CE3512K2) because of its good low-noise performance at microwave frequency bands. The measured results demonstrate that the proposed LNA is perfectly matched over...

    Abstract
Low-cost inorganic hole-transporting materials (HTMs) accompanied by a printable carbon electrode is an efficient approach to address the limitation of material cost of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and get this technology closer to commercialization. The present work is focused on optimizing the Zn/Sn ratio of Cu2ZnSnS4/carbon hole collectors in n-i-p structured PSCs, where CuInS2/carbon is applied as the reference hole collector. This composition regulation is a solution to address the challenge of composition-related defects of the Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) material. The Zn/Sn ratio was tuned by the initial proportion of the zinc precursor during the nanoparticle (NP) synthesis using a heating-up...

    Mobility-Aware content caching using graph-coloring

    , Article IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology ; Volume 71, Issue 5 , 2022 , Pages 5666-5670 ; 00189545 (ISSN) Javedankherad, M ; Zeinalpour Yazdi, Z ; Ashtiani, F ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Caching the popular files in the memories of small base stations (SBSs) is an effective solution to the limited capacity of wireless backhaul links. The efficiency of caching depends on the proper design of the content placement. This is more challenging when the SBSs have overlapped coverage and especially when the users are also mobile. In this letter, we exploit the concept of graph-coloring and model the connection between SBSs and users as well as user mobilities, through a weighted graph in which SBSs are its vertices, and propose some algorithms to color it effectively. Then, we fill the memory of colored SBSs with popular content accordingly. © 1967-2012 IEEE

    Abstract
Reusing test cases across similar applications can significantly reduce testing effort. Some recent test reuse approaches successfully exploit word embedding models to semantically match GUI events across Android apps. It is a common understanding that word embedding models trained on domain-specific corpora perform better on specialized tasks. Our recent study confirms this understanding in the context of Android test reuse. It shows that word embedding models trained with a corpus of the English descriptions of apps in the Google Play Store lead to a better semantic matching of Android GUI events. Motivated by this result, we hypothesize that we can further increase the effectiveness of...

    Abstract
This paper presents a new framework for island formation prior to windstorms, which considers tree-caused failures of distribution networks. In the proposed framework, both direct and indirect effects of windstorms on distribution lines are quantified. Thus, a novel discrete Markov chain model is proposed for representing the failure modes of trees in each time interval of windstorm duration. This model categorizes 'healthy', 'uprooted', 'stem breakage', and 'branch breakage' states of a tree. In addition, a new line-tree interaction model is presented for calculating tree-caused failure probability of overhead lines. The results of the proposed Markov model are taken as inputs by the...
