A Dynamic Scheduling Model with Multiple Process Planning Scenarios Using Markov Models

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Fathollahi Chimeh, Mahsa (Author) ; Haji, Babak (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Cloud Manufacturing have been provided the proper context for efficient and effective using from distributed and various sources for agile and fast responsiveness to various customer demands. Product request from customers lead to define the operations in shop-floor levels that must be process by production equipment in shop-floors. The planning and scheduling problem of this activities have been most important challenge for decision makers. Therefore, the development of ways and methods can exploit efficiently from distributed resources and in confront of customer reqirement have been adaptive is most important. In this study an adaptive approach can be considered in terms of assigning the...

    Abstract
In this thesis, a model of predator-prey with a continuous threshold harvesting with refuge and without refuge the prey is formulated; and its dynamics, also, its direct effects on ecosystem such as the stability properties of some periodic solutions and coexistence eqilibria are surveyed. Numerical and theoretical analyses are used to investigate boundedness of solutions, stability of eqilibria, periodic orbits, bifurcations and heteroclinic orbits

Joint pricing and rationing in a production system with two demand classes

    , Article European Journal of Industrial Engineering ; Vol. 8, issue. 6 , 2014 , p. 836-860 Ahmadi, M ; Shavandi, H ; Sharif University of Technology
    Abstract
We consider a production system with a single product and two classes of customers. Customers are segmented into two classes: 1) loyal and 2) occasional. Each class has a different shortage cost for the system. The demand of the customer classes is assumed to be stochastic and price sensitive, and distributed as a Poisson process. The objective is to determine the inventory rationing as well as pricing policies in order to maximise the profit function of the system. We formulate the problem as a Markov decision problem and characterise the optimal policies for pricing and inventory rationing. The joint pricing and rationing threshold policy is shown to be optimal. The performance of the...

A heuristic threshold policy for fault detection and diagnosis in multivariate statistical quality control environments

    Abstract
In this paper, a heuristic threshold policy is developed to detect and classify the states of a multivariate quality control system. In this approach, a probability measure called belief is first assigned to the quality characteristics and then the posterior belief of out-of-control characteristics is updated by taking new observations and using a Bayesian rule. If the posterior belief is more than a decision threshold, called minimum acceptable belief determined using a heuristic threshold policy, then the corresponding quality characteristic is classified out-of-control. Besides using a different approach, the main difference between the current research and previous works is that the...
