    Abstract
    Nanosized CdS coupled TiO2 nanocrystals were prepared by a microemulsion-mediated Hydrothermal method at relatively low temperatures. Modification of this nanocomposite with Tyrosine,Phenylalanine,Glysine and Glutamate ,especially Tyrosine resulted in enhanced photocatalytic degradation rate of Nitrobenzene( NB ) compared to using CdS-TiO2 under visible light irradiation.     TiO2, Ag/TiO2 and AgBr/TiO2 synthesized by sol – gel method. Synthesized samples were characterized by X- Ray diffraction (XRD) , Fourier transformed infrared ( FT – IR) , Scanning electron microscopy ( SEM) techniques. The results of XRD showed that the particle size is in the nanorange and anatase form of titania is present in all of the photocatalysts.     The present work is based on the, synthesis and investigation of photocatalytic activity of TiO2, TiO2/MWCNT, ZnO and ZnO/MWCNT nanostructures.     Fabrication of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Based on TiO2-ZnO Double Layer Nanostructured Film

    Abstract
    In the present work, one dimensional ZnO nanostructures were grown by seed-assisted hydrothermal method. Hydrothermal processing parameters were controlled to obtain ZnO nanorods with diameter lower than 120 nm. The products were characterized by FE-SEM, EDAX, XRD, PL, and ATR-FTIR analyses. ZnO nanoparticles were also synthesized via a simple solvothermal method and their photo peropeties were compared with onedimensional nanostructures. Thereafter dye-sensitized solar cells based on TiO2-ZnO double layer nanostructured film were fabricated. It was observed that DSSC efficiency increased with decreasing the thickness of the film.     Samples of the V2O5 catalysts supported on nanostructures of TiO2 and γ-Al2O3 were synthesized via hydrothermal method for the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODHP) to propylene. The TiO2 support was utilized in both commercial microstructures and prepared nanostructures from their corresponding salts. Furthermore,the γ-Al2O3 was also prepared from two novel methods. Moreover, the vanadium catalysts supported on hybrid TiO2 and γ-Al2O3 were prepared. The performances of the prepared catalysts were subsequently examined in a fixed-bed reactor.
