    Abstract
Activities conducted in this study can be divided into two general sections: synthesis and analysis and identifies the properties. A geopolymeric cement production process includes two steps of thermal activation and alkaline activation. Geopolymers are cementitious materials synthesized by a polycondensation reaction between an aluminate and silicate. The geopolymeric structures of the products were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). XRD results showed that there are no significant differences between the XRD patterns of geopolymers and metakaolin. The structure of the geopolymer is typically...

    Abstract
Al2O3-SiC composite ceramics were prepared by pressureless sintering with and without the addition of MgO, TiO2 and Y2O3 as sintering aids. The effects of these compositional variables on final density and hardness were investigated. In the present article at first α-Al2O3 and β-SiC nano powders have been synthesized by sol-gel method separately by using AlCl 3, TEOS and saccharose as precursors. Pressureless sintering was carried out in nitrogen atmosphere at 1600 °C and 1630 °C. The addition of 5 vol.% SiC to Al2O3 hindered densification. In contrast, the addition of nano MgO and nano TiO2 to Al 2O3-5 vol.% SiC composites improved densification but Y2O3 did not have positive effect on...

Stannous chloride penta-hydride, ammonium fluoride and citric acid were used to synthesize the FTO nano-powders. The structure, morphology and composition of the synthesized powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, respectively. The results revealed the formation of homogenous FTO nano-powders with an average particle size of 20 nm...

    Abstract
In the present work, G-TiO2 and G-ODA-TiO2 hybrids were prepared by concurrent surface functionalization and reducing of graphene oxide (GO) using octadecylamine (ODA). The G-TiO2 and G-ODA-TiO2 powders were deposited on the copper surface by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) technique. The wettability of coatings revealed the preferable hydrophobic characteristic of G-ODA-TiO2 compared to G-TiO2 and bare copper with water contact angles of 130°, 101°, and 87°, respectively. The anti-corrosion performance of specimens in a 0.5 M H2SO4 solution was appraised by the potentiodynamic polarization (Tafel analysis), which clearly showed that G-TiO2 and G-ODA-TiO2 coatings can act as a great barrier...

    Abstract
In the present study, an adaptive sliding mode control method was employed to control a fish robotic system using hardware in the loop methodology. Up to now, few researches have focused on autonomous control of fish robot in dynamic environments which may be the result of difficulties in modeling of hydrodynamic effects on fish robot. Therefore, following the introduction of the nonlinear model for the robot, elongated body theory, suggested by Lighthill, was used to analyze fish movements. Then, kinematics control to track desired trajectories was designed for under-actuated model of robot. Adaptive sliding mode controller, capable of adapting according to changes and uncertainties, was...

    Abstract
Nanocrystalline Y3-xMMxFe5O12 powders (MM denotes Misch-metal, x = 0.0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 1.0) were synthesized by a sol-gel combustion method. Magnetic properties and crystalline structures were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and a scanning electron microscope. The XRD patterns showed that the single-phase garnet of Y3-xMMxFe5O12 was formed at x values ≤ 1.0. The saturation magnetization of powders increased with decreasing MM content and reached the maximum value at Y3 Fe5O12. The crystallite size of powders calcined at 800°C for 3 h was in the range of 38-53 nm. © 2008 American Ceramic Society

    Abstract
Creating laser texture on dental implants is a novel method for accelerating osseointegration and prolongation of lifespan. The purpose of this research was twofold: (1) Creating intersecting lines pattern with different angles (0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, and 90°) on the surface of Ti6Al4V, using pulse Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm and a pulse length of 170 ns and (2) comparing optical and SEM images, EDS analyses, contact angles (CAs), and surface free energies (FEs) for different intersecting lines angles. CA and FE depended on the intersecting lines angle according to Y = Y 0 + A sin (x B + C), where Y is the CA or FE; x is the intersecting lines angle; and Y0, A, B, and C...
