A Model for the Selection and Prioritization of Project Portfolio in the Project-Based Organizations

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Sharifi, Atefe (Author) ; Hajji, Alireza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
During recent years a variety of decision making models for project selecting and priorities have been developed. Most of these models used quantitative indicators for projects evaluating and focused on financial and economic indicators. In this project, a decision support system for project portfolio management in construction industry has been developed. The most important feature of this model that distinct it from others is its relationship with the organization's strategies. On one hand, this model focuses on the organization to ensuring that the projects selected for investment, meet the portfolio strategy and on the other hand, it focuses on project management to delivering projects...

A Finance-Inventory Modeling in Supply Chain with Delay in Payments

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Masoumi, Mohammad (Author) ; Hajji, Alireza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
This thesis deals with the financial risk management and coordination of supply chain members. To investigate this issue, two echelon supply chain consisting of one manufacturer and one retailer with a newsvendor inventory policy for a period is considered. The mathematical modeling has been used to find the exact answer. MATLAB software for solving and scenario generation is used for the analysis. In the proposed method, financial risk management, partial trade credit policy, coordination of supply chain members and cash discount for retailers, have been considered. According to the proposed method, the manufacturer can determine immediate payment at the start of the trade credit period...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Zarrin, Soheil (Author) ; Hajji, Alireza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Embedded system Project management , because of lots of unstable parameters in design and also diversity of the technical knowledge ,requires a complex and agile project management methodology. Whereas in these projects , different knowledge fields are applied (such as electronics ,telecommunication ,control and robotics) and software is an evitable part of these systems ,project managers can not be familiar with all aspects of the technical and professional in deep manner. Considering that usually ,the project managers of such projects are elected from professionals of hardware or mechanical sections and not in deep inception of software project management , this thesis focus on a new model...

A New Inventory Control Policy for a Two-level Supply Chain with Perishable Products

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Mahmoodi, Anwar (Author) ; Hajji, Alireza (Supervisor) ; Hajji, Rasoul (Co-Advisor)
    Abstract
The assumption of infinite lifetime is common in most of the inventory models. However, the perishability of products is a major problem of some industry sectors in which by disregarding the finite lifetime of their products the resulting model may give inaccurate results. Although, significant studies have been carried out for inventory control of perishable products, yet the literature needs more studies to develop or optimize the inventory policies. In this thesis, the inventory control of perishable products is considered. For the case of stochastic demand, it was well known that there is no inventory control policy in which both the order size and the order interval are constant with an...

Maximizing the Number of Adjacencies in a Multi Floor Facility Layout Problem with Unequal Rectangular Departments

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Neghabi, Hossein (Author) ; Ghasemi-Taromi, Farhad (Supervisor) ; Hajji, Alireza (Co-Advisor)
    Abstract
Facility layout problem (FLP) is one of classical optimization problem in engineering science. The theoretical attractiveness and practical applications of the problem have created a rich literature in the FLP. There are varieties of measure of effectiveness’s for the FLPs, such as minimizing the space cost; minimizing the handing cost; maximizing the adjacencies; maximizing the safety and etc. Maximization of the adjacencies is a common measure of effectiveness, which is addressed in many related literatures especially, in continuous process facility layout. Using of the classical definition of the adjacency usually impose some restrictions on the layout designs. Due to these restrictions...

A Multio Bjective Work Flow Scheduling Algorithmin Cloud Computing Environment

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Safavi, Soroush (Author) ; Qasemi Tari, Farhad (Supervisor) ; Hajji, Alireza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Multi core processors are becoming mainstream in the computation area, wide application of multi core processors in Engineering, Industrial purposes and scientific applications made them popular among users and Manufacturers, cloud computing is a very well known Concept which technically is a Multicore processing environment, most of Businesses, enterprises and engineering works nowadays are getting done by the help of cloud services, hence, to get the best of these multi core cloud computing systems, scheduling of the tasks on the cores and virtual machines(VMs) is necessary, which is the answer to two questions: each task must be assigned to which core(VM)? And What is the order of...

A Novel Solving Method for Transportation Assignment Problem Considering Ride-sharing Using Blockchain Technology

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Etemad Moghadam, Samin (Author) ; Hajji, Alireza (Supervisor) ; Fatahi Valilai, Omid (Co-Supervisor)
    Abstract
Population and urbanization increase, intra-city travel and the use of private cars have created problems such as traffic, higher fuel consumption and air pollution. One of the approaches to deal with this phenomenon, which has been in center of attention in recent years due to the growth of technology and development of ride-hailing platforms on mobile phones, is using shared vehicles and travel sharing. The assignment problem in ride-sharing is a group of VRP problems and is classified as an NP-hard problem. Due to the high volume of demand from passengers and supply from drivers, as well as the need for fast response to reduce waiting time for passengers and drivers, there is a need to...
