    Saturable absorber nanolithography by vectorial nonparaxial gaussian beam

    Abstract
    The non-paraxial and vectorial effects have an important role in the dynamics of highly confined beam in nonlinear medium. In this paper, we study the vectorial non-paraxial propagation of Gaussian field in the saturable absorber media numerically with the aim of nano-lithography. It is shown that in the optimal regimes for nanolithography, the mutual coupling between components of optical field and mode coupling between different orders of Hermite-Gaussian mode lead to generation of various patterns upon propagation through saturable absorber media.     Abstract
    In this paper a saturable absorber medium is employed as an optical limiter to reduce the spot size to the range of several tens of nanometres. The characteristics of a Gaussian beam are theoretically analysed upon propagation through the saturable absorber medium. Based on Maxwell equations a system of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations for intensity, beam radius and beam curvature is obtained. Theoretical analyses and numerical results show that the behaviour of a Gaussian beam in a saturable absorber medium strongly depends on the initial characteristics of the laser beam.     In this paper by solving Dirac equation, we present an analytical solution to calculate energy levels and wave functions of mono- and bilayer graphene quantum dots. By supposing circular quantum dots, we solve Dirac equation and obtain energy levels and band gap with relations in a new closed and practical form. The energy levels are correlated with a radial quantum number and radius of quantum dots. In addition to monolayer quantum dots, AA- and AB-stacked bilayer quantum dots are investigated and their energy levels and band gap are calculated as well.     In the present study, we attempt to synthesize and characterize novel CMC-g-poly (acrylic acid-co-2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid)/silica gel composite. Infrared spectroscopy and TGA thermal analysis were carried out to confirm the chemical structure of the hydrogel. Moreover, morphology of the samples was examined by scanning electron microscopy. The effect of reaction variables affecting on water absorbency of the composite and swelling behavior in various solvents, salt, and pH solutions was investigated.     The absorption characteristics of zirconium nitride (ZrN)-based metamaterial absorber of fractal geometry are studied. The proposed absorber is comprised of fractal metasurface at the top having subwavelength-sized periodic pattern of specially designed ZrN circular nano-discs arranged over silicon dioxide (SiO2) substrate. A tri-layer graphene, owing to its exhibiting better tunability, is introduced at the interface of metasurface and substrate. Usually, the stacking of metal and dielectric multilayered structures form a multiband absorber which makes the device bulky and costly. In this paper, we investigate a multiband absorber based on a single-layered fractal metasurface for the 5G applications.
