    In this paper, thermal buckling and free/forced vibration characteristics of size-dependent composite cylindrical nanoshell reinforced with graphene platelets (GPLs) is presented. Also, the nanoshell is embedded in an elastic pasternak medium, which is obtained by adding a shear layer to the Winkler model. The present nano-resonator is based on a vibrating first order nanoscale cylindrical shell subjected to transverse pressure.     Abstract
    A new approach for attaining numerical solution to sinusoidal steady-state Maxwell's equations is developed. This approach is based on Yee's method, and can be applied on unstructured grids. A problem is solved by the method and the results show good agreement with the available analytical solution.     Abstract
    An analytical method for reconstructing residual stresses within axisymmetric cylinders is presented. The method uses the stress equilibrium and boundary conditions together with an Airy stress function that satisfies these conditions. The method allows the reconstruction of residual stresses from limited measurements. The analysis is also coupled to a least squares approximation and a regularization analysis to provide stability of the inverse problem.     Inertial microfluidics is utilized as a powerful passive method for particle and cell manipulation, which uses the hydrodynamic forces of the fluid in the channel to focus particles in specific equilibrium positions in the cross section of the channel. To achieve high performance manipulation, knowledge of focusing pattern of particles in the cross section of channel is essential. In this paper, we propose a method to address this important issue.     The field of any point source which is broadened equally in all directions without any limitation to its range is within category of the inverse square law (ISL). As a case study, the dose equivalent (DE) rate is calculated. For calculating the DE rate, the radiation source can be divided into multiple layers and each layer is fractionated to multiple rectangular surfaces. Each rectangular surface can be replaced with three types of sectors. The DE rate of a source on a target is then sum of DE rates of sectors.     In this study, an analytical method is proposed for design of double-ridged horn (DRH) antenna, which is based on impedance matching of the structure by the method of least squares (MLSs).     In this study a 3D robust, systematic, semi-analytical method to characterize electromagnetic scattering from periodic arrays of discrete scatterers is presented. The proposed method is based on the multiple-scattering T-matrix in connection with the Ewald method. The formulation is systematic, quite general, easily traceable, and fast. Its high speed of analysis makes it well suited to design optimizations.     In this paper, it is shown that non-reciprocity can be observed in time-varying media without employing spatiotemporal modulated permittivities. We show that by using only two one-dimensional Fabry–Perot slabs with time-periodic permittivities having quadrature-phase difference, it is possible to achieve considerable non-reciprocity in transmission at the incidence frequency. To analyze such a scenario, generalized transfer matrices are introduced to find the wave amplitudes of all harmonics in all space. The prioritized class-1 jobs are real-time, served either with the preemptive or non-preemptive Earliest- Deadline- First (EDF) policy and can preempt the non real-time class-2 jobs. The preempted service of the class-2 job is resumed from the time in instances where no class-1 job is in the system. The service discipline of class-2 jobs is FCFS.     This paper presents an analytical method in computational aeroelasticity for an airfoil considering two degrees of freedom (heaving and pitching) based on the Wagner integral function. In the obtained aeroelastic equations of motion, there are some integral parts that give an integro-differential system of equations. Using appropriate approximation for the Wagner function, a new form of equations can be obtained by derivation from mentioned equations.     This paper introduces an analytical method to approximate the fraction of jobs missing their deadlines in a soft real-time system when the earliest-deadline-first (EDF) scheduling policy is used. In the system, jobs either all have deadlines until the beginning of service (DBS) and are non-preemptive, or have deadlines until the end of service (DES) and are preemptive.     The essential oil components of geranium oil cultivated in center of Iran were identified and determined using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry data combined with the chemometric resolution techniques. A total of 61 components accounting for 91.51% were identified using similarity searches between the mass spectra and MS database.
