    Abstract
Demand for high-capacity, long cycle life, and aqueous batteries based on abundant metals such as nickel, zinc, aluminum, and so on is rising in the energy storage field. In this study, we design a hierarchical morphology as a nanosheet-built microsphere of nickel vanadium layered double hydroxide (NiV LDH) with conductive agents graphene oxide (GO) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) through a low-cost hydrothermal synthesis method. The experimental results demonstrate that the graphitic structures and functional groups of the GO and CNT play an important role in controlling nucleation, growth speed, size, and finally morphology of hierarchical nanosheets. The electrochemical results...

    , Article Journal of Energy Storage ; Volume 33 , 2021 ; 2352152X (ISSN) Azadfalah, M ; Sedghi, A ; Hosseini, H ; Kashani, H ; Sharif University of Technology
    Elsevier Ltd  2021
    Abstract
Recently, development of advanced materials of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) has attracted attention for the fabrication of supercapacitors (SCs) because of their high surface area and high level of porosity. However, poor electrical conductivity and weak mechanical properties of the MOFs have restricted their applications in the field. In this study, a one-step, in-situ synthesis of Cobalt-based MOF with graphene (CoMG nanocomposite) was employed to overcome the poor properties of MOFs. Accordingly, when the nanocomposite (CoMG5) was use as a supercapacitor electrode material, a specific capacitance (CS) of 549.96 F g−1 was observed in a three-electrode system with 6 M KOH electrolyte...

    Abstract
This paper presents a residential energy hub model for a smart multi-carrier energy home consisting of plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), combined heat and power (CHP), solar panels, and electrical storage system (ESS). In this paper, an optimization-based program is proposed to determine the optimal operation mode of the energy hub, to manage the energy consumption of responsive appliances, to schedule charging/discharging of PHEV and the storage system, and to coordinate solar panels operation with household responsive demand in response to day-ahead time-varying tariffs...

    Abstract
The electric power industry is the main part of Science development, and today, with the advent of technology, the demand for electric power has been expanded. On the other hand, smart grids are developing heavily. One of the notable features of these networks is the presence of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). The addition of these cars to the network has its own advantages and disadvantages. One of the most important issues in smart grids is network management and control of critical system parameters. In this paper the effect of these cars on the grid is investigated. These vehicles impose an increase in production capacity in the uncontrolled charge mode. They also have the...

    Abstract
We hereby demonstrate symmetric and asymmetric supercapacitors (SSCs and ASCs) based on core/shell-like Ni-Co oxide@cotton//Fe2O3-carbon nanotubes@cotton that are capable of storing a remarkable amount of energy, while retaining a high power density and long cycle life. Hierarchical, porous structures of Ni-Co-O nano-rod (NR) decorated Pd-activated cotton fibers (CFs) were fabricated using an eco-benign hydrothermal method and directly used as the cathode of the supercapacitors. Fe2O3-single-wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) decorated CFs were employed as anodes of the fabricated ASCs. The assembled Ni-Co-O@cotton//Fe2O3-SWCNTs@cotton based ASCs possessed the benefits of a relatively high energy...
