    In this paper, the general problem of impedance control for a robotic manipulator with a moving flexible base is addressed. Impedance control imposes a relation between force and displacement at the contact point with the environment. The concept of impedance control of flexible base mobile manipulator is rather new and is being considered for first time using singular perturbation and new sliding mode control methods by authors.     Abstract
    The biped walking robot demonstrates a stable limit cycle on shallow slopes. In previous researches, this passive gait was shown to be sensitive to ground slope and initial conditions. In this paper, we discuss the feedback stabilization of a biped robot by the "energy shaping" technique. Two designs are proposed to reduce the sensitivity of the biped walking robot to slope and initial conditions. In the first design, a moving mass actuator is located on each link of the robot.     As a security principle, separation of duty (SoD) is widely considered in computer security. In the role-based access control(RBAC) model, separation of duty constraints enforce conflict of interest policies. There are two main types of separation of duty policies in RBAC, Static SoD (SSoD) and Dynamic SoD (DSoD). In RBAC, Statically Mutually Exclusive Role (SMER) constraints are used to enforce Static Separation of Duty policies. Dynamic Separation of duty policies, like SSoD policies, are intended to limit the permissions that are available to a user.     A detection technique for extraction of total harmonics, individual harmonics, and reactive current components is introduced and its performance is evaluated. The detection algorithm is then adopted as part of the control system of a single-phase active power filter (APF) to provide the required signals for harmonic filtering and reactive power compensation.     The feasibility of a novel system to reliably estimate the normalized central blood pressure (CBPN) from the radial photoplethysmogram (PPG) is investigated. Right-wrist radial blood pressure and left-wrist PPG were simultaneously recorded in five different days. An industry-standard applanation tonometer was employed for recording radial blood pressure.     This paper deals with the coordinated control of rotor- and grid-side converters in wind turbines with doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) to improve the low-voltage ride-through capability. The rotor-side converter control and additional equipment, called stator damping resistor, are used to limit the rotor inrush current and to reduce the oscillations and settling time of DFIG transient response during the voltage dip.
