    Abstract
    This paper proposes a Distant Speech Recognition system based on a novel speaker Localization and Beamforming (SRLB) algorithm. To localize the speaker an algorithm based on Steered Response Power by utilizing harmonic structures of speech signal is proposed. This new scheme has the ability of speaker verification by fundamental frequency variation: therefore it can be utilized in the design of a speech recognition system for verified speakers. Then the performance of the Farsi speech recognition engine is evaluated under notorious conditions of noise and reverberation.     Abstract
    Carbon nanotubes are widely used in the design of nanosensors and actuators. Any defect in the manufactured nanotube plays an important role in the natural frequencies of these structures. In this paper, the effect of vacancy defects on the vibration of carbon nanotubes is investigated by using an atomistic modeling technique, called the molecular structural mechanics method. Vibration analysis is performed for armchair and zigzag nanotubes with cantilever boundary condition. The shift of the principal frequency of the nanotube with vacancy defect at different locations on the length is plotted.     Abstract
    The lateral response of a single degree of freedom (SDOF) structural system containing a rigid circular cylindrical liquid tank, under harmonic and earthquake excitations is considered. The governing differential equations of motion for the combined system is derived considering the first 3 liquid sloshing modes (1,1), (0,1), and (2,1), under horizontal excitation.     Abstract
    Cascaded split-source inverter (CSSI) is a new single-stage modular multilevel topology. Each cell of this converter converts dc to ac power in the buck or boost operation mode without any additional power switch. This article develops a design method based on a detailed model for CSSI. This model shows that energy storage elements experience double-fundamental frequency ripples besides high-frequency ones. It accurately calculates voltage gains and capacitor voltage and inductor current ripples. On the other hand, common carrier-based multilevel modulations have been modified in terms of both reference and carrier signals to control the inverter under symmetric and asymmetric conditions....

    Abstract
    In this study, dynamic modeling of an elbow axially functionally graded (AFG) macro/micro-tube carrying magnetic flow with different cross-sections is considered. Parametric optimization is performed for vibration suppression of such fluid-interaction systems.     Abstract
    In the present study, based on 12-unknown higher order shear deformation theory (HSDT), buckling and vibration analysis of FG-CNTRC rectangular plate are investigated for various types of temperature distribution and boundary conditions. Implementing Hamilton’s principle, the equations of motion are derived and solved by adopting the Navier solution for the simply supported boundary conditions and DQM method for other boundary conditions.
