    Abstract
    In this paper, a non parametric approach is first proposed to monitor simple linear profiles with non normal error terms in Phase I and Phase II. In this approach, two control charts based on a transformation technique and decision on beliefs are designed in order to monitor the intercept and the slope, simultaneously. Then, some simulation experiments are performed in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed control charts in Phase II under both step and drift shifts in terms of out-of-control average run length (ARL1).     Abstract
    In this article, the homotopy analysis method has been applied to solve a coupled nonlinear diffusion-reaction equations. The validity of this method has been successful by applying it for these nonlinear equations. The results obtained by this method have a good agreement with one obtained by other methods. This work illustrates the validity of the homotopy analysis method for the nonlinear differential equations. The basic ideas of this approach can be widely employed to solve other strongly nonlinear problems. © 2008 Springer Science+Business Media B.V

    Abstract
    This study develops a fuzzy multi-objective linear programming (FMOLP) model for solving the multi-objective no-wait flow shop scheduling problem in a fuzzy environment. The proposed model attempts to simultaneously minimize the weighted mean completion time and the weighted mean earliness. A numerical example demonstrates the feasibility of applying the proposed model to no-wait flow shop scheduling problem. The proposed model yields a compromised solution and the decision maker's overall levels of satisfaction. © 2008 The#Franklin#Institute

    In this paper, we propose a two-phase approach to find the optimal solutions of a class of fuzzy linear programming problems called fully fuzzified linear programming (FFLP), where all decision parameters and variables are fuzzy numbers. Our approach is constructed on the basis of comparison of mean and standard deviation of fuzzy numbers. In this approach, the first phase maximizes the possibilistic mean value of fuzzy objective function and obtains a set of feasible solutions.     The design and implementation of linear and nonlinear control methods for a three-pole active magnetic bearing (AMB) is presented in this paper. It is shown that the system has nearly linear dynamics by adding a bias to coil currents. A decentralized PID feedback law and an integral sliding mode controller are proposed and the unknown state variables of the system are estimated by the Kalman filter. The optimal gains of the linear controller are determined by the LQG technique. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers, they are implemented on an experimental setup.     In the last decade, technological innovations have resulted in considering distributed generation with heat recovery capability in addition to centralised generation. This work aims to develop a comprehensive model analysing techno-economic parameters of energy supply in an office building. The energy model is developed on the basis of the reference energy system with the linear programming technique. The objective function is the annual value of total costs of the energy supply system.     In this study, azimuthal particle redistribution (APR), and azimuthal particle rotational splitting (APRS) methods are implemented in MCNPX2.4 source code. First of all, the efficiency of these methods was compared to two tallying methods. The APRS is more efficient than the APR method in track length estimator tallies. However in the energy deposition tally, both methods have nearly the same efficiency. Latent variance reduction factors were obtained for 6, 10 and 18. MV photons as well.     This paper presents the feedback linearization control of HIV infection. A multi-input multi-output (MIMO) dynamic nonlinear HIV infection model for this purpose has been used.
