    Synthesis of Azacrown Ethers N2O2 Ligands Substituted on the Ullerene and Investigation of Its Coordination Properties

    Abstract
    The goal of this project was study on coordination behavior of the 14-membered macrocyclic ligand of type N2O2 aza-crown while it is attached to fullerene C60 nano-particle. For this purpose, firstly the macrocyclic ligand (Fig 3-1, L1) was synthesized and then was reacted with C60 (Fig 3-1, L2) of which the product was characterized by elemental analysis. Since the product was insoluble in any solvents, further study on its coordination chemistry was impossible. In a second procedure, the macrocyclic ligand was reacted with benzylbromide.     A complte set of characteristic parameters of the sandpile models is still unknown. We have studied the existence of ”weak chaos” critical exponent in different sandpile models and we have shown that it is a characteristic exponent of deterministic models. We have shown that BTW and Zhang models do not belong to the same universality class (contrary to Zhang’s previous conjecture and contrary to Ben-Hur & Biham’s results.)     Study of Deactivation of Carbon Nanotubes Supported on Cobalt Catalysts in Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis

    Purified RIPI–CNT was used as support material for the preparation of cobalt FTS catalysts. Carbon nanotubes supported catalysts (S1–S4) were prepared with loadings of 15, 20, 30 and 40 wt.%. The FT synthesis was carried out in a fixed-bed micro reactor. Deactivation factors of cobalt catalysts supported on carbon nanotubes in FT synthesis is investigated. Using carbon nanotubes as cobalt catalyst support was found to cause the reduction temperature of cobalt oxide species to shift to lower temperatures.     Applying Signal Coordination in Dynamic Traffic Assignment

    Abstract
    Signal Coordination is one of the appropriate methods for delay reduction in intersections. Static Traffic Assignment is unable to reflect the impacts of Signal Coordination in a network. One proper way to overcome this difficulty is to use Dynamic Traffic Assignment (DTA) that can model complex properties of traffic flow. This thesis presents a method to apply Signal Coordination in Cell Transmission Model. Neguin network is tested for different intersection's green start times. The results show that Signal Coordination has great influence on total travel time and route choice in this network. Finally, the results have been checked with AIMSUN NG, a microsimulator software.
