    Abstract
    In this study the properties of muscle synergies, arising from optimal feedback control are investigated. Three different tasks namely reaching, via-point, and hitting are performed using optimization of corresponding cost functions. Then by applying non-negative matrix factorization method to a dataset of muscle tensions, synchronous muscle synergies are obtained. In this way, different muscle patterns can be generated by linear combination of these basis vectors with non-negative time-varying scaling coefficients.     This work aimed to evaluate trunk muscle forces, internal loads and stability margin under some simulated standing postures, with and without external loads, using a nonlinear finite element model of the T1-S1 spine with realistic nonlinear load-displacement properties.     Purpose: Loss of skeletal muscle mass, which depends on a balance between protein synthesis and degradation, is common in sarcopenia, cachexia, and some diseases. The purpose of this study was to investigate the alterations and interactions of protein synthesis and degradation signaling components induced by 8-week endurance exercise training with a normal diet.     Hydrogels made of natural polymers [chitosan (CS) and gelatin (G)] have been prepared having mechanical properties similar to those of muscle tissues. In this study, the effect of polymer concentration and scaffold stiffness on the behavior of seeded muscle-derived cells (MDCs) on the CS-G hydrogel sheets has been evaluated.
