    Porous carbon template decorated with mixed transition metals/metal oxides with tunable architecture is becoming increasingly important and attractive as a kind of novel electrode materials. In this way, mixed-metallic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) provide an opportunity for fabrication of homogeneous mixed metals/metal oxides distribution in the porous carbon frame without any carbon precursor additive.     Abstract
    Two-stage chemical deposition (TSCD) technique is used to produce ZnO, Mn2O3 and NiO films on soda-lime glass (SL-G) from an aqueous solution of zinc, manganese and nickel complex, respectively. The TSCD method enables the deposition of metal oxide thin films with a thickness which can be controlled during the preparation procedure. The ZnO, Mn 2O3 and NiO thin films were polycrystalline films which were adherent well to the substrates. The SEM micrographs clearly indicate that the zinc oxide layer is composed of oval shaped crystallites preferably orientated perpendicular to the surface of the substrate. The main purpose of this replacement is noise reduction( for example by about 10dB for a 100km/h freight train). One of the main sources of noise emission is the rolling sound of the wheel on the rail. The rougher and more out-of-round wheel surface, the greater the noise produced.     Abstract
    TiO2 and TiO2-Graphene have been synthesized by hydrothermal method. Their physical, chemical and morphological properties have been investigated using XPS, XRD, FTIR, TEM, EDX, UV-Vis and AFM analyses. Moreover, photocatalytic efficiency of prepared materials has been examined using degradation of methylene blue. AFM image exhibited that monolayer GO with thickness of 10 nm was synthesized using modified Hummer’s method. FTIR analysis represented main characteristic peak of oxygen bond on the surface of GO, whereas for TiO2-Graphene most of oxygen functionalities on the surface were removed partially or completely.     Abstract
    In this research Feasibility of application of oxide compounds of bismuth, molybdenum and tin as biocide was studied. So some epoxy paints with different ratio of these compounds were formulated. Afterward some tests were performed to assessment paints properties such as leaching rate, antifouling activity, adhesion, corrosion resistance and impact resistance. Results of leaching rate test showed that increase in the ratio of bismuth oxide from 10% to 60%, led to increase leaching rate from 0.029mg.day-1.cm-2 to 0.126mg.day-1.cm-2. beside that Microscopic results showed proved that the ratio of bismuth oxide in the cured coating is 25% of the paint formulate.     Concentration-dependent cyto and genotoxicities of graphene oxide (GO) and reduced GO (rGO) sheets on spermatozoa were studied. rGO sheets with various surface chemical states were achieved using hydrazine (N2H 4) hydrothermal (HT) reactions and green tea polyphenols (GTPs). Although 0.1 μg mL-1 graphene could not change sperm viability and kinetic parameters, <40% and 20% of spermatozoa were viable and progressively motile, after 2 h incubation with 400 μg mL-1 GO or rGO, respectively.     Titanium oxide (TiO2)-based photodetectors were fabricated using a thermal oxidation technique. The effect of two different annealing temperatures on morphology, structure, and I-V characteristics has been investigated. TiO2/Si heterostructure exhibited diode-like rectifying I-V behavior both in dark and under illumination. Dependence in photoresponse on annealing temperature was observed that was related to effective surface area of quasi-one-dimensional TiO2 nanostructures.     Nanoscale graphene oxide (NGO) sheets were synthesized and used as carbocatalysts for effective oxidation of benzylic alcohols and aromatic aldehydes. For oxidation of alcohols in the presence of H2O2 at 80 °C, the NGOs (20% mass fraction) as carbocatalysts showed selectivity toward aldehyde. The rate and yield of this reaction strongly depended on the nature of substituents on the alcohol. For 4-nitrobenzyl alcohol, <10% of it was converted into the corresponding carboxylic acid after 24 h.     The novel N2O2 unsymmetrical tetradentate Schiff bases complexes are used as catalysts for the selective aerobic oxidation of cyclohexene. In general, conversion percentages decrease with increasing ΔEp and decreasing Eredox 0′. Catalytic activity increases with decrease of the number of electron-donating groups and the catalytic selectivity varies according to the types of substituents in the ligands.
