    Recently, huge attention has been drawn to improve optical sensing devices based on photonic resonators in the presence of graphene. In this paper, based on the transfer matrix approach and TE polarization of the incident electromagnetic waves, we numerically evaluate the transmission and reflection spectra for one-dimensional photonic resonators and surface plasmon resonances with strained graphene, respectively. We proved that a relatively small strain field in graphene can modulate linearly polarized resonant modes within the photonic bandgap of the defective crystal.     The current research focuses on suggesting a new potential application of polymeric materials for capacitor applications by focusing on polystyrene (PS)/ethylene-α-octene copolymer (EOC) blends. Polymeric materials have high dielectric strength (≈ 200 for PS), good processability, and flexibility. However, their low dielectric constants make them not suitable for capacitor applications.     Induced Polarization (IP) is a non-intrusive geophysical method to monitor Dense Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (DNAPL) contamination and remediation processes underground. In this study, an advanced numerical code simulating DNAPL flow and complex electrical resistivity is presented. The model was validated against existing IP results and image measurements that were carried out previously in a series of 2D tank experiment.     In this paper, a single-fed, circularly-polarized printed antenna with an elliptical slot for S-band application is suggested. The antenna structure includes a circular patch radiator having one rotated elliptical slot which feeds through a microstrip line. The circular polarization is obtained by adjusting the major axis of the elliptical slot.     We propose and analyze a circularly polarized slot antenna built on a ferrite substrate which is saturated normal to its plane and metalized on both sides. The antenna is built by etching a circular slot in the top metal layer. The antenna operates in the frequency range where the effective permeability of ferrite is negative.     In this study, antibacterial activity, biocompatibility, and corrosion resistance of 316 LVM implants were improved using the development of HAp/GO/Ag nanocomposite coatings by the dip-coating method. The XRD and FTIR results confirmed the synthesis of HAp/GO/Ag nanocomposites. HAp/Ag nanoparticles (68 nm) bound to epoxy, hydroxyl, and carboxyl functional groups on GO sheets (size of GO sheets varies from 255 to 1480 nm) by electrostatic interaction. FESEM images showed that HAp/GO/Ag coatings had higher density and fewer micro-cracks than pure HAp coatings.     Ca-doped Ni–Mg–Mn spinel ferrites with compositions of Ni0·5Mg0·3Mn0.2CaxFe2-xO4 (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5) were prepared via sol-gel auto-ignition technique. TGA/DTA, FTIR, XRD, FESEM, and VSM were employed to evaluate the thermal, spectral, structural, morphological, and magnetic features of Ca-doped Ni–Mg–Mn spinel ferrites. TGA/DTA curves show the weight loss in the sample. This weight loss was attributed to the oxidation and decomposition of the sample contents at a temperature of 500 °C.     In this research, piezocatalysts ceramics Bi4Ti3-xMnxO12 (x=0,0.1,0.2,0.3) were synthesized by hydrothermal method and utilized in the process of rhodamine B piezocatalytic degradation.These piezocatalysts were characterized using XRD, FE-SEM, FT-IR, DRS and PL methods. The results of XRD patterns confirmed the formation of orthorhombic crystal structure of Bi4Ti2.9Mn0.1O12 and Bi4Ti3O12 piezocatalysts.
