    Audio watermarking for covert communication through telephone system

    Abstract
    In this paper, a novel service that uses audio watermarking for covert communication through telephone system is presented. This system is suitable for ISDN and PSIN networks and it can be modified for using in mobile systems. We use a Direct sequence spread spectrum algorithem with perceptual modeling of HAS for embedding watermark into the audio or speed signals. The watermark is robust against telephone channel attacks such as AWGN , Low pass filtering, D/A-A/D conversion, Downsampling down to 64 slips and A-Law or μ-Law conversion. This system is also robust against audio format conversion such as wave (windows PCM) format to mp3 (down o 64 kbps compression. © 2006 IEEE

    Abstract
    Along with the improvement of image watermarking techniques, the necessity for effectively and comprehensively evaluating various algorithms becomes imperative. In this paper, we first propose a new categorization that fits for most of the existing watermarking algorithms that work in the wavelet domain. Then an adaptive watermarking attack for evaluating the robustness of watermarking schemes that are based on the proposed categorization is presented.     Motion blur is one of the most common blurs that degrades images. Restoration of such images are highly dependent to estimation of motion blur parameters. Many researchers since 1976 have developed algorithms to estimate linear motion blur parameters. These algorithms are different in their performance, time complexity, precision and their robustness in noisy environments.     Abstract
    The problem of time optimal magnetic attitude control is treated and an open loop solution is first obtained using a variational approach. In order to close the control loop, a neural network with time varying weights is proposed as a feedback optimal controller applicable to the time varying nonlinear system.     Abstract
    The aim of this study is to reduce the computational load in model predictive control of multi-input nonlinear systems. First, the nonlinear system which has a high number of states and inputs is decomposed into several subsystems by solving a linear integer programming problem offline. Then, the model of each subsystem is revised by considering the effect of coupling and interactions of other subsystems. Next, the robust model predictive technique based on linear matrix inequalities is employed to compute control signal for each subsystem. An industrial chemical reaction example is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2017 IEEE

    This paper proposes a tracking control strategy for nonlinear systems without needing a prior knowledge of the reference trajectory. The proposed method consists of a set of local controllers with appropriate overlaps in their stability regions and an on-line switching strategy which implements these controllers and uses some augmented intermediate controllers to ensure steering the system states to the desired set points without needing to redesign the controller for each value of set point changes.     Abstract
    The present study demonstrates numerically a novel approach to perform a controllable single-mode random laser, using stimulated Raman gain. Due to the narrow linewidth of the Raman line shape, only one of the modes of the passive random system can lase. The robust control on the emission spectrum was achieved through the selection of any desired quasi-modes, by adjusting the pump wavelength in order to place the center of Raman line shape on desired quasi-modes. This approach was proved using a developed nonlinear transfer matrix method for a 1D Raman random system.     Abstract
    In this paper, a new interaction prediction approach is presented for optimal control of nonlinear large-scale systems. The proposed approach uses a new gradient-type coordination scheme which has a larger convergence region with respect to the parameters' variation, and also has a good convergence rate. In this approach, the coordination vector is updated using the gradient of coordination error. This type of coordination considerably reduces the number of iterations. The robustness and the convergence rate of the proposed approach against the best classical interaction prediction approaches are shown through simulations of a benchmark problem. © 2008 IEEE

    In this paper, a decentralized model predictive control approach is proposed for discrete linear systems with a high number of inputs and states. The system is decomposed into several interacting subsystems. The interaction among subsystems is modeled as external disturbances.
