    Abstract
    This paper presents the developed computer codes based on the Adaptive Group of Ink Drop Spread (AGIDS) algorithm [1] for the reconstruction of the energy spectrum of the neutron source. The required data are generated via simulation of the neutron pulse height distributions due to randomly generated energy spectra with the MCNPX-ESUT computer code [2]. The simulated neutron pulse height distributions and corresponding randomly generated energy spectra are the input and output data of the developed computer code, respectively.     Abstract
    In this study, the impacts of salinity, ion type, and aging process were investigated on coalescence and spreading of crude oil interfaces (including an oil droplet and an oil film) under gravity, through drop rest time measurement techniques, aided by an image analysis system. Three different salt solutions of NaCl, Na2SO4, and MgCl2 were studied at different ionic strengths, ranged from 1% to 150% of Persian Gulf seawater ionic strength. According to the results, aging the oil droplet in the brine increased the interfacial rigidity.     Active learning method (ALM) is a powerful fuzzy-based soft computing methodology suitable for various applications such as function modeling, control systems, clustering and classification. Despite considerable advantages, the main computational engine of ALM, ink drop spread (IDS), is memory-intensive, which imposes significant area overheads in the hardware realization of the ALM for real-time applications. In this paper, we propose a compressed model for ALM which greatly alleviates the storage limitations.     In this paper, we propose a light-weight jamming-resistant scheme for the Internet-of-Things (IoT) in 5G networks to ensure high-quality communication in a two-hop cooperative network.     In this paper, we consider the internally coded time-hopping spread-time multiple access scheme introduced in [1]. We evaluate the performance of the correlator receiver followed by the Viterbi algorithm in fading channel. We analyze the effect of multiple access interference (MAI) and narrowband interference (NBI). We also provide simulation results and further evaluate the performance of the system for the ultra wide band (UWB) application with the UWB channel model specified by the IEEE 802.15.4a group.     In this paper, we analyze the effect of applying leaky bucket as a well known traffic shaper on data users in a variable spreading gain CDMA (VSG-CDMA) uplink wireless cellular network. To this end, we model the effect of leaky bucket mechanism on a typical data user, with a closed product form queueing network. Each node in this queueing network corresponds to a specific processing gain or equivalently transmission rate and power. By solving such a queueing network we obtain the steady state probability with which a typical data user will exist at each node.     We evaluate the performance of the internally coded partial-band DS-CDMA scheme first introduced in [1], in a multipath Rayleigh fading channel. The scheme of [1] is based on frequency-hopping (FH) and direct-sequence (DS) spread spectrum techniques. The total bandwidth is divided into Ns subbands. The output of a super-orthogonal encoder and a pseudorandom (PN) sequence selects one subband, in which the user's data is sent in the form of DS-CDMA signal using the second PN sequence.     The effects of liquefaction induced lateral spreading on the piles of a dolphin-type berth were investigated using 1 g large scale shake table testing accompanied by numerical simulations. For this purpose, various aspects of the response of the soil and the pile group to lateral spreading were considered. The results indicated that large bending moments were induced in the piles during lateral spreading and the downslope piles of the group received greater bending moments than the upslope one.     In this paper we present a blind low frequency watermarking scheme on gray level images, which is based on DCT transform and spread spectrum communications technique. We compute the DCT of non overlapping 8x8 blocks of the host image, then using the DC coefficients of each block we construct a low-resolution approximation image. We apply block based DCT on this approximation image, then a pseudo random noise sequence is added into its high frequencies.     Porous gelatin-chitosan microcarriers (MCs) with the size of 350 ± 50 μm were fabricated with blends of different gelatin/chitosan (G/C) weight ratio using an electrospraying technique. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to study the quantitative influence of process parameters, including blend ratio, voltage, and syringe pump flow rate, on MCs diameter and density.
