    Although static characterization of reservoirs is an inevitable part of any reservoir studies, the most robust models of the reservoirs can be obtained through integrating static and dynamic data. The following study which is done in a heterogeneous carbonate reservoir utilizes the capillary pressure and relative permeability data to verify the task of static rock typing and investigate the role of hydraulic units in capillary pressure and relative permeability modeling.     Abstract
    In this research, a functionally graded microbeam bonded with piezoelectric layers is analyzed under electric force. Static and dynamic instability due to the electric actuation is studied because of its importance in micro electro mechanical systems, especially in micro switches. In order to prevent pull-in instability, two piezoelectric layers are used as sensor and actuator. A current amplifier is used to supply input voltage of the actuator from the output of the sensor layer.     In this paper, the development of a neutron noise simulator for hexagonal-structured reactor cores using both the forward and the adjoint methods is reported. The spatial discretisation of both 2-D 2-group static and dynamic equations is based on a developed box-scheme finite difference method for hexagonal mesh boxes. Using the power iteration method for the static calculations, the 2-group neutron flux and its adjoint with the corresponding eigenvalues are obtained by the developed static simulator.     Abstract
    A series of supersonic visualization tests were performed on an airplane model in both static and dynamic pitching cases. After image processing, the wave angles originating from different parts of the model were carefully measured and averaged over several oscillation cycles. These findings were then compared with the corresponding normal force under similar conditions. The results reveal a hysteresis loop in variations of the model shock angles with instantaneous angles of attack during upstroke and down-stroke motions.     This paper presents several efficient architectures of dynamic/static edge-triggered flip-flops with a compact embedded logic. The proposed structure, which benefits from the overlap period, fixes most of the drawbacks of the dynamic logic family. The design issues of setting the appropriate overlap period for this architecture are explained. The proposed overlap-based approach is compared with several state-of-the-art dynamic/static logic styles in implementing a 4-bit shift register and an odd-even sort coprocessor using different CMOS technologies.     In this paper, we propose a new 4-legged 6-DOF redundantly actuated UPS parallel mechanism. Kinematics, singularity and dynamics analyses of the proposed mechanism are addressed. The heterogeneity is represented by a spatial distribution of the local elastic moduli.     Abstract
    This paper investigates the static and dynamic characteristics of composite thin-walled beams that are constructed from a single-cell box. The structural model considered herein incorporates a number of nonclassical effects, such as material anisotropy, transverse shear, warping inhibition, nonuniform torsional model and rotary inertia. The governing equations were derived using extended Hamilton's principle and solved using extended Galerkin's method.     Abstract
    A smeared crack approach has been proposed to model the static and dynamic behavior of mass concrete in three-dimensional space. The proposed model simulates the tensile fracture on the mass concrete and contains pre-softening behavior, softening initiation, fracture energy conservation and strain rate effects under dynamic loads. It was found that the proposed model gives excellent results and crack profiles comparing with the available data under static loads.
