Planning and Scheduling of Presented Bills in Legislative
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Varmazyar, Mohsen (Supervisor)
Abstract
In recent years, data-driven planning and analysis in political institutions, particularly legislative bodies, have gained significant importance, leading to enhanced decision-making processes and policy effectiveness. Due to their high transparency and direct impact on macro-level political decisions, these institutions are recognized as one of the most critical research domains in this field. In this study, considering the complex and unique structure of legislative processes in parliaments and senates, a mixed-integer programming model was designed to prioritize the scheduling of high-impact legislative proposals. Given the inefficiency of exact solution methods in large-scale problems,...

Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is used in many wireless communication. The important drawback of this modulation is its high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In this paper, a new modulation scheme of constant-envelope OFDM (CE-OFDM) is proposed. This scheme uses a combination of OFDM, quantizer and continuous phase modulation (CPM) to achieves 0 dB PAPR. The statistical signatures of signals, based on system parameters such as the length of discrete Fourier transform (DFT) and the number of quantization levels are presented. There are two sources of noise in proposed CE-OFDM scheme: quantization noise and channel noise. The theoretical analysis of these noises is...
