Abstract
A hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD) method was used to prepare Fe-Cr thin film on Si substrate. The produced layers were used as catalysts for growing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) from liquid petroleum gas (LPG) at 825 °C by thermal CVD (TCVD) method. To characterize the obtained catalysts or CNTs, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Raman spectroscopy were used. CNTs were grown on HFCVD derived Fe-Cr catalyst with the LPG as carbon source successfully. It was found that an annealing process on catalysts enhances the surface concentration of Cr atoms and reduces the sizes of catalyst particles. The...

Abstract
In this study a hot filament chemical vapour deposition (HFCVD) technique was used to prepare Fe-Cr films on Si substrate as catalysts for thermal CVD (TCVD) growing of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) from liquid petroleum gas (LPG) at 800 °C. To characterize the catalysts or CNTs, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Raman spectroscopy were used. The XPS spectra obtained at different stages of Ar+ sputtering revealed that in the depth of catalyst layers, the relative Fe-Cr concentrations are higher than the top-surface. SEM images of samples after TCVD indicate a significant CNT growing at the backside of catalyst...

Abstract
Gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) were synthesized by co-deposition of RF-sputtering and RF-PECVD from acetylene gas and Au target on the carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The CNTs were prepared by thermal chemical vapor deposition (TCVD) and Pd nanoparticles catalyst. TEM image shows that high-density and uniform distribution of Au NPs were grown on the CNTs. XRD analysis indicates that Au NPs have fcc crystal structure and CNTs have a good graphite structure. Raman spectroscopy results suggest that our sample includes double-walled CNTs. It is resulted that intensity of D-band reduces and G-band intensity raises and radial breathing mode (RBM) is changed by immobilizing of Au NPs on the CNTs. Raman...

Abstract
In this study three different methods; hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD), pulsed laser ablation (PLA) and electrochemical deposition were utilized to prepare catalyst thin films or nanoparticles and thermal chemical vapor deposition (TCVD) was used to grow multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). We found that even though the three mentioned techniques have been rarely applied by researchers, they are appropriate and efficient methods to produce catalytic basis for CNT growth. In the TCVD step, liquid petroleum gas (LPG) was applied as carbon source. Although, this gas is a mixture of different hydrocarbons and further contains some sulfur, our results verify that utilizing of LPG...

Abstract
TCVD growth of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was reported by catalytic decomposition of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at a temperature range of 580800 °C. Laser ablation was employed as a simple and rapid technique to produce Pd nanoparticles which possess effective catalytic activities for CNT synthesis. UVvisible spectroscopy and TEM images confirmed that the Pd nanoparticles are stable for a long time and have rather spherical shape with average size of 7 nm. SEM and TEM observations and Raman spectroscopy demonstrated that the CNTs have a wavy structure, dense morphology and acceptable crystallinity. Since Pd nanoparticles are inactivated or agglomerated at extremes of the...

Abstract
In real-time packet-based communication systems, one major problem is misrouted or delayed packets which results in degraded perceived voice quality. If packets are not available on time, the packet is known as lost packet. The easiest task of a network terminal receiver is to replace silence for the duration of lost speech segments. In a high quality communication system, to avoid quality reduction due to packet loss, a suitable method and/or algorithm is needed to replace the missing segments of speech. In this paper, we introduce a low order recursive linear prediction method for replacement of lost speech segment. In this method a normalized least mean square (NLMS) as an adaptive filter...

Abstract
Ni-Si mixed oxide nanocomposite was prepared by co-precipitation method with Ni(NO 3) 2 ·6H 2O and tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) at pH = 10.5 under reflux condition for 6 days. It was then used as a catalyst for the formation of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by CVD procedure. Characterization of the catalyst and the CNTs was carried out using X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman spectroscopy. The results showed that Ni-Si mixed oxides nanorods with the average diameter of 3 to 4 nm play a key role in CNTs formation

Abstract
The present work reports the synthesis of a Pt-modified NiO–Al2O3 nanocomposite derived from graphene-supported layered double hydroxide (Pt–NiO/G) and demonstrates its catalytic activity. The resulting Pt–NiO/G nanocomposite was characterized by FT-IR, XRD, FE-SEM, TEM and XPS techniques and used for catalytic reduction of p-nitrophenol (P-NP) to p-aminophenol (P-AP). The influence of graphene on catalytic activity was comparatively considered by preparation of Pt–NiO nanoparticles derived from layered double hydroxide. The superior catalytic performance of Pt–NiO/G was ascribed to the synergistic effect between Pt and NiO. Furthermore, reduction of P-NP was considered to follow a...

Abstract
Ag2O particles were loaded on the surface of ZnCr-LDH via an anion-exchange precipitation approach by using privilege of the memory trace feature of the LDH-type materials. The structural properties of the resulted photocatalyst were explored by different spectroscopic and microscopic methods. The photocatalytic studies on acid black degradation ascertained that the prepared Ag2O/ZnCr-LDH nanocomposite represented an observably increased degradation performance of organic pollutants compared with pure Ag2O and ZnCr-LDH. This improved photocatalytic performance can be ascribed to the enhanced surface area, good order distributing of particles and effective charge carrier transfer and...

Abstract
In this paper, the impacts of Maxwell nanoliquid transmission, rectangular with titanium oxide nanoparticles are explored over the triangular, chamfer blades. The innovation of this paper is the use of the number of chamfers, rectangular, and triangular blades at the top and bottom of a stretched plate to study physical nanofluid parameters such as temperature and the effects of magnetism. Also, by determining the appropriate height and length for the blades, we achieve the best optimization of temperature and velocity of nanofluid between the plate and the blades, which improves heat transfer and with a more and better effect of magnetic effects. The finite element method is utilized for...

Abstract
In precipitation hardenable materials, it is desirable to determine the precipitate dissolution temperature for homogenizing the microstructure by controlling the size and distribution of the precipitates. In this research, differential thermal analysis, dilatometry technique, heat treatments followed by microstructure evaluation were used to determine the -γ' dissolution temperature of Nimonic 115. It is assumed that the variation of enthalpy is governed by the changes in y volume fraction and γ concentration with time and temperature, and any contribution of the coarsening of γ' is neglected. The values obtained for the solvus temperature of γ precipitates by the three methods are all in...

Abstract
Molecular dynamics, MD, simulation of calcite (CaCO3) is selected to compare the p-v-T behaviour of some universal equations of state, UEOS, for the temperature range 100 K ≤ T 800 ≤ K, and pressures up to 3000 kbar. The isothermal sets of p-v-T data generated by simulation were each fitted onto some three- and two-parameter EOSs including Parsafar and Mason (PM), Linear Isotherm Regularity (LIR), Birch-Murnaghan (BM), Shanker, Vinet, Baonza and Modified generalized Lennard-Jones (MGLJ) EOSs. It is found that the MD data satisfactorily fit these UEOS with reasonable precision. Some features for a good UEOS criteria such as temperature dependencies of coefficients, pressure deviation,...

Abstract
Cu-based metal organic framework/rGO was used as an effective cocatalyst to synthesis novel Ag3VO4/Cu-MOF/rGO nanocomposite. The resulting photocatalysts were characterized by different microscopic and spectroscopic methods. The photocatalytic degradation studies on acid blue 92 showed that Ag3VO4/Cu-MOF/rGO nanocomposite indicated significant improved activity compared with pure Ag3VO4 and Cu-MOF/rGO. The improved photocatalytic activity of nanocomposite was attributed to the increased surface area and effective charge carrier separation and transport in the nanocomposite. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd

Abstract
Using non-equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations, we investigate the effects of nanotube size, mean flow velocity, ion concentration and temperature of an electrolyte water solution on shearing stress and nominal viscosity. It is shown that the distributed electric field arising from the electrolyte water solution has significant influences on fluid properties. Also, the temperature of the solution, which causes thermal movement, affects nanofluidic transport in nanoenvironments. The nominal viscosity and shearing stress increases as the tube diameter increases. When the temperature of solution increases or ion concentration decreases, the shearing stress and nominal viscosity increase....

Abstract
In this paper we have studied both DC size effect and anomalous skin effect caused by surface and grain boundary scattering on the resistivity of Cu thin films by a Monte Carlo method. Contribution of each scattering mechanism and the interaction between them are analyzed separately. A simple and fast numerical recursive method is also introduced to guess the structure of electric field and distribution of current inside the thin film to evaluate the surface resistance instead of complicated analytical formulas
