Abstract
Today, structural Health monitoring is a major concern in the engineering community. Multisite fatigue damage, hidden cracks and corrosion in hard-to-reach locations are among the major flaws encountered in today's extensive diagnosis and/or prognosis of aircraft structures. Ultrasonic waves, lamb waves are particularly advantageous because of their propagation at large distances with little damp in thin-wall structures. Considering the space of constant-weight sequences as the reference set for every optical orthogonal code (OOC) design algorithm, we propose a classification method that preserves the correlation properties of sequences. First, we introduce the circulant matrix representation of optical orthogonal codes and, based on the spectrum of circulant matrices, we define the spectral classification of the set Sn,w of all (0, 1)-sequences with length n, weight w, and the first chip 1. In this paper we investigate the Shannon capacity of single and parallel Poisson channels in different scenarios. At first, by examining the capacity equation of the single Poisson channel, the minimum average power that maximizes the capacity is found. Then, applying the method of Lagrange multipliers on the capacity expression of the parallel Poisson channel, we obtain the optimum power allocation maximizing the parallel Poisson channel capacity

Supplementing oxygen (O2) to transplanted cells via an O2 generating source such as calcium peroxide (CPO) is an attractive approach to ensure cell viability. Microchannels in hydrogels play an essential role in enabling a smart contact lens. However, microchannels have rarely been created in commercial hydrogel contact lenses due to their sensitivity to conventional microfabrication techniques. Here, we report the fabrication of microchannels in poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (poly(HEMA)) hydrogels that are used in commercial contact lenses with a three-dimensional (3D) printed mold. Background: Combating viral hepatitis is part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and WHO has put forth hepatitis B elimination targets in its Global Health Sector Strategy on Viral Hepatitis (WHO-GHSS) and Interim Guidance for Country Validation of Viral Hepatitis Elimination (WHO Interim Guidance).
