    Energy and exergy analyses of a spark-ignition engine

    Abstract
    In this paper, the performance of an internal combustion engine is evaluated at the steady-state condition by application of energy and exergy analysis using the experimental test results. The energy and exergy balances are calculated at different engine speeds. The results show that the heat rejection of energy and exergy flow increases with increasing engine speed. The exergy efficiencies are slightly higher than the corresponding energy efficiencies. The results of this study have revealed that the most important source of the system inefficiency is the destruction of exergy by irreversible processes, mostly by the combustion.     Abstract
    A blind semi-invertible quantization based data hiding scheme, which reconstructs the original signal with high precision has been proposed. In order to produce correlated quantization yielding reversibility of the quantization based approach, a new transform domain has been introduced. In decoder, by compensating the quantization error and using the iterative technique, the original signal is recovered; then the watermarked signal is compared with the reconstructed original signal and hidden data is retrieved.     Abstract
    In this paper, the optimum alkali activator solution properties in alkali-activated pastes based on ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) and micro-silica (MS) were investigated. For this purpose, sodium hydroxide (NH) solutions with molarities of 8 M, 12 M, and 16 M were prepared and mixed with sodium silicate (NS) solutions at NS:NH ratios of 1.0, 2.5, and 4.0 to produce the final activator solution. Two sets of pastes were manufactured: (1) pastes based on GGBFS, and (2) pastes in which 10% by weight of GGBFS was replaced with MS.     Waste ceramic powder-based geopolymer mortars: effect of curing temperature and alkaline solution-to-binder ratio

    Abstract
    In this study, the optimum curing temperature and alkaline solution-to-binder (S:B) ratio of geopolymer mortars based on waste ceramic powder (WCP) were investigated. For this purpose, mixes with S:B ratios of 0.4–0.7 were prepared and cured at 60, 75, 90, and 105 °C. The density, compressive and flexural strengths were measured at 3, 7, 14, and 28 days. Higher S:B ratios enhanced the flow of the fresh mortar. The optimum mortar was obtained for S:B ratio of 0.6 and curing temperature of 90 °C. The SEM analysis revealed that the optimal mix had a dense matrix with minimum pores. © 2019 Elsevier Ltd

It is assumed that n jobs are assigned to a flowshop with m machines. The jobs are not allowed to wait between two successive machines according to no-wait requirement. In the mentioned method, optimal fuel with composition of 75% urea, 25% ammonium acetate, and stoichiometric amount of glycine (0.75U-0.25AA-1G) was used. Moreover, ammonium nitrate as aid combustion was added to optimal fuel. In order to calcinations, nanopowder obtained from combustion synthesis was heated to 500°C for 1 hour and kept at this temperature for 2 hours.     In this study two approaches were applied to predict the hydrate dissociation pressure of natural gas in the presence of aqueous water. One approach applied van der Waals and Platteeuw solid solution theory & PR EOS the other applied a feed forward multi layers artificial neural network (ANN) with 19 input variables (temperature, existence of hydrocarbon liquid and ice phase, gas phase composition, inhibitor composition in aqueous phase), and one hidden layer with 17 neurons.
