Experimental Investigation of the Performance of a Body Integrated Diverterless Supersonic Inlet
, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Soltani, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Supersonic inlets, as one of the most important components of fighter aircraft, are designed to provide the required airflow with an acceptable level of energy and quality and with a minimum drag. From the inlet design point of view, there exist various configurations that are based on different criterion such as supersonic flow compression region, flow dimensions, and installation position, to name a few. The flight Mach number, M∞, could further complicate the design and structure of these types of inlets. One of the requirements for minimum drag is that at supersonic speed the shock wave that forms in front of the inlet must impinge on the cowl lip, called shock on lip condition (SOL). ...

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Sayyadi, Hassan (Supervisor) ; Zakerzadeh, Mohammad Reza (Co-Advisor)
Abstract
Vibration based energy harvesting is the process of trapping and collecting vibrational energy from ambient sources which seem unusable at first sight. The smart materials with the capability of coupling two different fields can be used in converting vibrational energy to electrical one. One of this smart material which has been taken into account recently is the Magnetic Shape Memory Alloy (MSMA) and it can couple the magnetic and mechanical fields. In MSMAs the total magnetization vector changes with the application of stress and make it possible to harvest energy from Faraday law’s of induction. An important phenomena that exist in MSMA is the dependency of magnetization-strain behavior...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Mohammadi, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor) ; Askari, Masoud (Supervisor)
Abstract
Dye-Sensitized solar cells are the third generation of solar cells that have the potential to increase efficiency as much as solar cells of previous generations, along with lower prices. The cathode electrode of the pigmented solar cell as one of the essential components of the cell plays the role of accelerating the oxidation reaction reduction of the electrolyte. Platinum often is used as a catalyst layer. To reduce production costs and maintain cell viability, platinum should replace with other materials at a lower cost and higher electrochemical activity. Recently, carbon materials have been considered for the production of inexpensive solar cells with suitable performance. Among...

, Article International Journal of Research in Wireless Systems (IJRWS) ; Vol. 2, Issue 9, pp. , Sep. 2013 ; Pakravan, Mohammad Reza ; Aref, Mohammad Reza ; Sharif University of Technology
Abstract
Secure routing is a major key to service maintenance in ad hoc networks. Ad hoc nature exposes the network to several types of node misbehavior or attacks. As a result of the resource limitations in such networks nodes may have a tendency to behave selfishly. Selfish behavior can have drastic impacts on network performance. We have proposed a Misbehavior-Tolerant Multipath Routing protocol (MTMR) which detects and punishes all types of misbehavior such as selfish behavior, wormhole, sinkhole and grey-hole attacks. The protocol utilizes a proactive approach to enforce cooperation. In addition, it uses a novel data redirection method to mitigate the impact of node misbehavior on network...
