Abstract
The novel mixed ligand complexes [M(bpy)(phen-dione)](PF6)2 (M = Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II), bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine and phen-dione = 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and electronic absorption spectroscopies. The ν(C=O) of coordinated phen-dione in these complexes are very similar to the free phen-dione ligand showing that phen-dione is not coordinated to metal ion from its C=O sites. Absorption spectra of the complexes show two absorption bands for intraligand transitions. These absorption bands show dependence to the dielectric constant of solvent. Abstract

Abstract
The chemical preparation and crystal structure for a 4,4′- azodi(phenylcyanamide) salt) in the solid state are reported. This compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P with the following unit cell parameters: a = 9.759(3) Å, b = 11.237(4) Å, c = 11.919(4) Å, α = 95.54(3)°, β = 98.50(3)°, γ = 109.39(2)°, Z = 1 and V = 1204.4(7) Å3. Abstract
This paper focuses on the effects of low temperature (subzero) treatments on microstructure and mechanical properties of H13 hot work tool steel. Cryogenic treatment at -72 °C and deep cryogenic treatment at -196 °C were applied and it was found that by applying the subzero treatments, the retained austenite was transformed to martensite. As the temperature was decreased more retained austenite was transformed to martensite and it also led to smaller and more uniform martensite laths distributed in the microstructure. Abstract
The effect of Rare earths addition to AZ91 magnesium alloy and its influence on the microstructure and mechanical properties was investigated in this study. Addition of cerium rich misch metal to AZ91 alloy resulted in formation of needle shape particles, which had a very high thermal stability, providing superior mechanical properties compared to AZ91 magnesium alloy. As a result, the grain boundaries were less susceptible for grain boundary sliding at high temperatures. Abstract
The effect of Al content and Si addition on the microstructural and creep properties of Mg-Al-RE alloys was investigated in this study. The steady state creep rates were specified and it was found that the creep behavior of the alloy, which is dependent on the stability of the near grain boundary microstructure, was improved by the RE and Si addition. For the AZ91 alloy, the results indicate a mixed mode of creep behavior, with some grain boundary effects contributing to the overall behavior. However for the RE and Si added samples, sliding of grain boundaries was greatly suppressed and the dislocation climb controlled creep was the dominant deformation mechanism. Abstract
This paper focuses on the effect of deep cryogenic treatment (-196 °C) on microstructure and mechanical properties of AZ91 magnesium alloy. The execution of deep cryogenic treatment on samples changed the distribution of β precipitates. The tiny laminar β particles almost dissolved in the microstructure and the coarse divorced eutectic β phase penetrated into the matrix. This article aims to compensate the velocity and position errors that exist when the star sensor starts to work in a strapdown inertial navigation system aided by celestial navigation. These systems are integrated via unscented Kalman filter to estimate the current attitude and the gyros fixed bias, precisely. Abstract
In this paper, the performance of the benzene gas detection sensor in the air is optimized by an experimental design method. So in this work, Nanostructured thin films of ZnO and Zn2SnO4 were prepared in wurtzite form via a facile atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method, using metallic zinc and tin precursors. Characterization of the gas sensor was performed by using Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and surface area analysis (using BET method). Abstract: In the current paper, the removal efficiency of metronidazole (MNZ) using a catalytic ozonation process (COP) in the presence of magnesium oxide nanocrystals, as a catalyst, was investigated in deionized water and compared with a sole ozonation process (SOP). The influence of several operational factors on both removal processes was evaluated: solution pH, MgO dosage, initial MNZ concentration, and reaction time. Biodegradability improvement, mineralization rate, oxidation intermediates, and toxicity were also studied for the COP. Treatment of dye pollution containing C.I. Acid Red 14 (AR14) by a coupled photocatalytic process was studied. Titanium dioxide, in the form of anatase and rutile, and zinc oxide, were used as photocatalysts. The investigated photocatalysts were Aldrich-produced nanopowders with crystallites of a mean size of 20-30 nm and a specific surface area of about 50 m 2/g. Electrochemical activity of TiO2 nanotube arrays (NTAs) is restricted by a wide band gap of TiO2. To overcome this restriction, we considered systematic research on two effective methods of doping of TiO2 NTAs such as the N-doping and electrochemical reductive doping and predicting the proper application of them. In this study, an attempt has been made to fabricate Cu-SiC nanocomposites by flake powder metallurgy and high-pressure torsion processing techniques at room temperature. Pure Cu and a mixture of Cu and nano-sized SiC powders were mechanically milled separately for 3 h and then green compacts were prepared by uniaxial pressing under 1 GPa pressure. HVOF-sprayed coatings (WC-17%Co) and hard chromium coatings corrosion resistances have been compared through electrochemical polarization test in 3.5% NaCl solution. Polycarboxylate superplasticizers based on acrylic acid (AA) and maleic anhydride (MAn) were synthesized via free-radical copolymerization with an ethylene glycol monomer and characterized. The copolymerization temperature (ranging from 50 to 90 °C) appeared to be the key operating factor governing the chemical structure of the superplasticizers. In feature-based image registration, feature selection and reduction methods play an important role in decreasing computational burden of these operations. In this paper, a new approach is introduced to reduce the dimension of extracted feature vectors of MR images. This approach is based on the selection of the maximum and minimum responses of the alpha stable filter for the MR images over the extracted features with different orientation in frequency domain. Abstract
This paper introduces a new method for improving the inertial navigation system errors using information provided by the camera. An unscented Kalman filter is used for integrating the inertial measurement unit data with the features’ constraints extracted from the camera’s image. The constraints, in our approach, comprise epipolar geometry of two consecutive images with more than 65% coverage. Tracking down a known feature in two consecutive images results in emergence of stochastic epipolar constraint. It emerges in the form of an implicit measurement equation of the Kalman filter.
