Abstract
The present study developed new multi-functional coatings made of novel silver-based metal-organic frameworks (SOF) distributed within chitosan (CS) nanofibers network for bone implants. The SOFs were synthesized using environmental-friendly materials via a green process. The CS-SOF nanocomposites were deposited on novel hierarchical etched (HE) layers synthesized through a dual surface treatment. In vitro biological evaluation revealed appropriate biocompatibility for the prepared surfaces. In this study, aqueous two-phase systems (ATPS) containing Tween 20 as a biocompatible nonionic surfactant and three different salts (NH4HPO4, NH4CH3COO and Mg(CH3COO)2 ) were prepared and their extractive potential for Lysozyme enzyme was evaluated. These systems have surfactant-rich top phase and salt-rich bottom phase. In this study, the potential of using MIL-100(Fe) metal–organic framework (MOF) for loading and controlling the release of dacarbazine (DTIC) was evaluated for in vitro treatment of melanoma. The drug loading was performed during the green synthesis of MIL-100(Fe) in an aqueous media without using any harmful solvents, to obtain MIL-DTIC. Abstract
Dacarbazine (DTIC) is a commonly used anticancer drug that has been found in pharmaceutical and hospital wastewater, posing a risk to human health and aquatic environments. In the present work, MIL-100(Fe) metal–organic framework (MOF) was synthesized using a rapid and green synthesis technique. The crystallinity and the porosity of the synthesized MIL-100(Fe) particles were investigated against air, and the results showed that the prepared particles are stable in air, and their surface area decreased from 1174 m2/g to 638 m2/g after aging for three years. Abstract
In this research, Fe3O4 nanoparticles/graphene oxide (Fe3O4/GO) and Fe3O4/polypyrrole/graphene oxide (Fe3O4/PPy/GO) magnetic nanocomposites were fabricated for DNA isolation. The prepared aminated nanocomposite conducted perfect DNA isolation characteristics. The results showed that the Freundlich isotherm and the pseudo-second-order models well-matched the equilibrium extraction data and kinetic outcomes, respectively. The electrophoresis findings confirmed the efficacy of as-prepared nanocomposites for DNA adsorption/desorption. In this paper, novel zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) functionalized with Ag (Ag@ZIF-8) nanoparticles were synthesized through a green, facile and environmental-friendly process for wound dressing applications. X-ray diffraction revealed that the ZIF-8 and Ag@ZIF-8 were successfully synthesized by green solvents at ambient temperature. Field-emission scanning electron microscopy indicated a homogeneous porous blend of ∼30 nm chitosan/bacterial cellulose (CS/BC) nanofibers embedded with ∼80–110 nm nanoparticles of the ZIF-8 and Ag@ZIF-8. This paper is a counterfactual analysis investigating the consequences of the formation of a currency union for Canada and the USA: whether outputs increase and prices decrease if these countries form a currency union. We use a two-country cointegrated model to conduct the counterfactual analysis, where the conditional forecasts are generated based on the Gaussian assumption. Journals and conferences in computer science are the major venue for publishing new achievement in the field. It is an expert opinion that a number of top conferences in computer science are even more important than journals. In this work we aim at studying this in terms of citation analysis. To this end, we took 100 top journals and 63 top conferences and extracted their citation graph through Scopus dataset. We then constructed the citation graph in which the nodes were the journals and conferences and the links corresponded to the citations of the papers.
