Abstract
Double talk detector is the essential part of an echo canceller to keep the adaptive filter from divergence in presence of near-end speech. This work is a contribution to propose a new double talk algorithm based on power, this method detects double-talk quickly; also it can distinguish the double-talking when the channel has the varying gain. In this paper, we first present an analytical discussion describing this new method and then we show the simulation result to compare our proposed algorithm in both performance and complexity with Giegel algorithm-the most successful one in line echo cancellers. ©2007 IEEE

Abstract
In this study a model is presented to predict the residual strength of composite laminates exposed to the heat flux of fire. This model calculates the number of the damaged laminas considering the charred thickness of the composite laminate and then predicts the overall residual strength of the laminate analyzing each lamina. Charred laminas no longer have their initial properties due to decomposition of their polymer matrix. This model can obtain the damaged thickness by introducing a damage temperature, and solving the energy equation for the thermochemical response of the laminate. Abstract
The square of a graph G denoted by G2, is the graph with the same vertex set as G and edges linking pairs of vertices at distance at most 2 in G. The chromatic number of the square of the Cartesian product of two cycles was previously determined for some cases. In this paper, we determine the precise value of χ((Cm□Cn)2) for all the remaining cases. We show that for all ordered pairs (m,n) except for (7,11) we have χ(Cm□Cn)2)=γV((Cm□Cn)2)|α((Cm□Cn)2), where α(G) denotes the independent number of G. This settles a conjecture of Sopena and Wu (2010). We also show that the smallest integer k such that χ(Cm□Cn2)≤6 for every m,≥k is 10. This answers a question of Shao and Vesel (2013)

Abstract
Purpose: This paper aims to study peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation in the ultraviolet (UV)/ozone process for toxic cyanide degradation from aqueous solution by a novel and simple method. Design/methodology/approach: Photocatalytic degradation of cyanide (CN-) was carried out using a bench-scale photoreactor. Abstract
Level Crossing (LC) Analog-to-Digital converters have been suggested as an asynchronous alternative to conventional schemes. It is our intention to improve the performance of these LC converters. In this paper, we also suggest alternative adaptive and multi-level adaptive LC schemes and use an iterative method to drastically improve the performance of LC converters. The impressive improvement of these schemes make LC converters a potential competitor to other conventional A/D converters such as Sigma Delta Modulators (SDM). ©2007 IEEE

Abstract
In the present study, the ACF-TiO2 catalyst was synthesised and used as a catalyst for the destruction of toxic cyanide in both synthetic and real industrial wastewaters. The ACF-TiO2 catalyst was found to be micro-porous with the BET surface area of 163 m2/g. The effect of different operational parameters such as catalyst concentration, cyanide concentration, operation time, and ozone concentration were target parameters in the present study. The findings show that 500 mg/L of catalyst is the optimum value for the photocatalytical process to completely oxidise 25 mg/L of cyanide within 10 min. In this paper, chaos in spatial attitude dynamics of a triaxial rigid satellite in an elliptic orbit is investigated analytically and numerically. The goal in the analytical part is to prove the existence of chaos and then to find a relation for the width of chaotic layers (i.e. the initial values needed to have a chaotic attitude motion) based on the parameters of the system. Abstract
In this paper, we analytically and numerically investigate chaos in attitude dynamics of a flexible satellite composed of a rigid body and two identical rigid panels attached to the main body with springs. Flexibility, viewed as a perturbation, can cause chaos in the satellite. To show this, first, we use a novel approach to define this perturbation. Then, we employ canonical transformation to transform the Hamiltonian of the system from five to three degrees of freedom. Abstract
The digital radio receivers often have fast analog to digital converters delivering vast amount of data. However, in many cases, the signal of interest represents a small proportion of that bandwidth. A Digital Down Converter (DDC) is a filter that extracts the signal of interest from the incoming data stream. In this paper we first introduce an algorithm based on FFT which can be applied for simultaneous frequency shifting and decimating of Intermediate Frequency (IF) band signals, then a simplified iterative algorithm is suggested to improve the quality of reconstructed baseband signal. ©2007 IEEE

One of the leading causes for death after heart diseases and cancer in all over the world is still stroke. Most strokes happen because an artery carrying blood from the heart to the brain is clogged. Most of the time, as with heart attacks, the problem is atherosclerosis, hardening of the arteries, calcified build up of fatty deposits on the vessel wall. The primary troublemaker is the carotid artery, one on each side of the neck, the main thoroughfare for blood to the brain.
