Wind Farm Power Optimization Using Cooperative Game Control Methods
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Nobakhti, Amin (Supervisor)
Abstract
This research studies the application of coopeartive control and game theoretic approaches in the field of wind farm optimization. The conventional (greedy) wind farm control strategy seeks to individually maximize the power of each turbine. However, due to the presence of aerodynamic interactions (wake effect) between turbines, this strategy will not lead to maximum overall farm power. Accordingly, this study formulates the wind farm power optimization problem as an identical interest game which is utilized to deal with cooperative control problems in general, and the wind farm control problem in particular. Two distributed model-free learning algorithms are then applied to obtain the...

Abstract
We study the application of cooperative control and game theoretic approaches to wind farm optimization. The conventional (greedy) wind farm control strategy seeks to individually maximize each turbine power. However, this strategy does not maximize the overall power production of wind farms due to the aerodynamic interactions (wake effect) between the turbines. We formulate the wind farm power optimization problem as an identical interest game which can also be used to solve other cooperative control problems. Two model-free learning algorithms are developed to obtain the optimal axial induction factors of the turbines and maximize power production. The algorithms are simulated for a...
Model-Driven Methodology for Developing RESTful Web Services
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Ramsin, Raman (Supervisor)
Abstract
Offering software in the form of web services has gained great popularity due to the evolution of cloud architectures. REpresentational State Transfer (REST) comprises a set of rules and practices that provide simple and comprehensible APIs, clear representational structures, and scalable services for use in web engineering. Due to the simplicity and scalability of the REST architecture, it has become increasingly popular among web-service developers. Among the architectures used in web service design (REST, WSDL, SOAP), REST is the most common; it has significantly changed how systems are developed based on web services. Model-Driven Development (MDD) can facilitate the construction of...

Abstract
The history of plants to be utilized as medicines is thousands of years old. Black cumin is one of the most widely examined plant possessing naturally occurring compounds with antimicrobial potential. Foliar application of growth stimulators is a successful strategy to enhance yield and quality in many crops. A field study was planned to apply growth stimulator like moringa leaf extract on black cumin crop grown under field conditions using RCB design with three replications. All other agronomic inputs and practices were uniform. The treatments were moringa leaf extract concentrations (10%, 20%), growth stages (40 days after sowing, 80 DAS, 120 DAS, 40 + 80 DAS, 40 + 120 DAS, 80 + 120 DAS,...

Abstract
Silver nanoparticles (Ag. NPs) have shown a biological activity range, synthesized under different environment-friendly approaches. Ag. NPs were synthesized using aqueous crude extract (ACE) isolated from Plantago lanceolata. The ACE and Ag. NPs were characterized and assessed their biological and antioxidant activities. The existence of nanoparticles (NPs) was confirmed by color shift, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and UV–Vis’s spectroscopy. The FT-IR analysis indicated the association of biomolecules (phenolic acid and flavonoids) to reduce silver (Ag+) ions. The SEM study demonstrated a sphere-shaped and mean size in the range of 30 ± 4 nm. The EDX spectrum revealed that the Ag. NPs were...
