    Analysis of Bearing Capacity and Settlement of Piled-Raft Foundation on Clayey Soils

    Abstract
    Investigating the behavior of piled-raft foundations is a three-dimensional problem. The shape and location of the piles in the raft as well as the complex interaction of the soil-structure in these foundations should be analyzed in a three-dimensional fashion to indicate the real behavior of this type of foundations. The soil must also be analyzed in a nonlinear state to achieve the correct bearing capacity of these foundations.     In this paper, we consider a low complexity iterative multiuser receiver for the coded MC-FH-CDMA system, introduced in M. Ebrahimi T.M. and M. Nasiri-Kenari (May 2002). The structure of the proposed receiver consists of a multiuser likelihood calculator (MULC) and a bank of SISO channel decoders one for each active user. Based on the received signal and a priori information about code bits provided by SISO decoders in the previous iteration, MULC computes extrinsic information of coded symbols of active users in the form of log-likelihood ratio (LLR).     Abstract
    In this paper, we consider multiuser capacity of a multicarrier frequency-hopping (MC-FH) CDMA system as first introduced in [1]. We propose to use a practical low-rate convolutional error correcting code in this system which does not require any extra bandwidth further than needed by the frequency-hopping spread-spectrum modulation. We provide multiuser performance analysis of the system for both uncoded and coded schemes in AWGN and fading channels based on Gaussian distribution assumption for multiuser interference term.     Advanced gas turbine cycles use advanced blade cooling technologies to reach high turbine inlet temperature. Accurate modeling and optimization of these cycles depend on blade cooling model.
