    Abstract
In the eld of supply chain, selecting a suitable green supplier could signi cantly help us decrease the cost and risks of the operations and increase the quality of green supply. This paper develops an integrated two-stage approach based on Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and multi-objective mixed-integer linear programming to select suppliers and allocate order in the green supply chain. In the rst stage, suppliers are evaluated using FAHP method and in the second stage, a multi-product multi-period supply chain is developed considering green location-routing problem, discounting, and time window under uncertainty. Then, a fuzzy solution approach is applied to solve the proposed...

    Abstract
Detecting Machine-Generated Text (MGT) has emerged as a significant area of study within Natural Language Processing. While language models generate text, they often leave discernible traces, which can be scrutinized using either traditional feature-based methods or more advanced neural language models. In this research, we explore the effectiveness of fine-tuning a RoBERTa-base transformer, a powerful neural architecture, to address MGT detection as a binary classification task. Focusing specifically on Subtask A (Monolingual - English) within the SemEval-2024 competition framework, our proposed system achieves an accuracy of 78.9% on the test dataset, positioning us at 57th among...

On D-equivalence class of complete bipartite graphs

    , Article Ars Combinatoria ; Vol. 117, issue , Oct , 2014 , p. 275-288 ; 03817032 Aalipour-Hafshejani, G ; Akbari, S ; Ebrahimi, Z ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
Let G be a simple graph of order n. We mean by dominating set, a set S C V(G) such that every vertex of G is either in S or adjacent to a vertex in S. The domination polynomial of G is the polynomial Σni=1 (G,i)xi where d((g,i) is the number of dominating sets of G of size i. Two graphs G and H are said to be V-equivalent, written G H, if D((G, x) = D(H, x). The D-equivalence class of G is [G] = { H H G }. Recently, the determination of D-equivalence class of a given graph, has been of interest. In this paper, it is shown that for n ≥ 3, [Kn, n] has size two. We conjecture that the complete bipartite graph Km,n for n - m ≥ 2, is uniquely determined by its domination polynomial

    Abstract
The tear energy and heat build up of NR, SBR and BR vulcanizates and their corresponding blends were measured at several temperatures via modified trouser tear and Goodrich flexometer experiments. In all single component samples, by increasing temperature from -10 to 125°C, the fracture energy decreases, goes through a minimum and increases again. Nevertheless, in SBR and BR, a level off and a level off followed by second drop occur at higher temperatures, respectively. On the other hand, for aforementioned samples the heat build up decreases monotonically by raising the temperature. For two-component blends, the fracture energy and heat build up show different dependencies on temperature in...

Towards dark silicon era in FPGAs using complementary hard logic design

    Abstract
While the transistor density continues to grow exponentially in Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), the increased leakage current of CMOS transistors act as a power wall for the aggressive integration of transistors in a single die. One recently trend to alleviate the power wall in FPGAs is to turn off inactive regions of the silicon die, referred to as dark silicon. This paper presents a reconfigurable architecture to enable effective fine-grained power gating of unused Logic Blocks (LBs) in FPGAs. In the proposed architecture, the traditional soft logic is replaced with Mega Cells (MCs), each consists of a set of complementary Generic Reconfigurable Hard Logic (GRHL) and a conventional...

    Abstract
The privilege of early cancer detection is entangled with many people's lives. Thus, providing an efficient tool to analyze circulating tumor cells (CTCs) would be an immense asset. In this study, a CTC sorting mechanism is introduced by classifying CTCs based on their EpCAM (epithelial cell adhesion molecule) level, a cell surface marker applicable to cancer staging. For this purpose, an integrated microfluidic chip was designed to focus and separate CTCs from blood cells in a divergent serpentine microchannel, and simultaneously, sort CTCs into three categories [low-EpCAM (N1 = 406), medium-EpCAM (N2 = 693), and high-EpCAM (N3 = 1693)] using a magnetic field. The velocity optimizations,...

    Abstract
Mammography is an x-ray-based imaging method to examine breast abnormalities. Since low-energy photons are used in mammography, doses to different organs would depend strongly on the phantom posture and anatomy. Until now, a few studies have been performed on doses delivered to different organs during mammography. However, in none of them, the correct posture of the patient has been considered. In the present study, the effect of accurate patient positioning, on doses to organs in the chest region were investigated through Monte Carlo simulations. The results show the rotation of the phantom head, may affect organ doses up to 60%. Also, ignoring the head in dosimetry calculations changes...

    Abstract
In this paper, an industrial ethylbenzene production unit has been simulated and the results are compared against five-day experimental data. According to prevailing unit condition, i.e. recycled ratio of benzene, benzene selectivity, and energy consumption, the unit is not working under its optimum conditions for minimum cost of ethylbenzene production. In the current design, high amount of benzene recycle (6:1) causes to have an additional cost due to fractionation of ethylbenzene from benzene. A new approach is proposed to modify the benzene alkylation process and reduce the unit's energy consumption. In the newly designed scheme, two double-bed alkylation reactors converted into four...

    Abstract
Branched hierarchical zinc oxide nanowires (BH-ZnO NWs) were fabricated successfully by a facile and rapid synthesis using two-step growth process. Initially, ZnO NWs have been prepared by anodizing zinc foil at room temperature and followed by annealing treatment. Then, the BH- ZnO NWs were grown on the ZnO NWs by a solution based method at very low temperature (31 oC). The BH- ZnO NWs with different aspect ratio were obtained by varying reaction time (0.5, 2, 5, 10 h). Photocatalytic activity of the samples was studied under both UV and visible light. The results indicated that the optimized BH-ZnO NWs (5 h) as a photocatalyst exhibited the highest photoactivity with about 3 times higher...

    Abstract
Abstract: Photocatalysis using semiconductors has emerged as a promising wastewater treatment process to overcome the major challenges faced by conventional technologies. The advantages of ZnO nanomaterials over other semiconductors, and their structure-dependent properties, make them important building blocks in nanotechnology as multifunctional materials. Moreover, it has been confirmed that ZnO nanomaterials can exhibit high performance in photodegradation of organic dyes for treatment of industrial effluent. The wurtzite structure of ZnO contains polar and nonpolar planes; the low surface energy and thermodynamic stability of the nonpolar planes enable formation of one-dimensional (1D)...

    Abstract
Switched Reluctance Motors (SRMs) are widely used in high-speed and low voltage applications because of their attractive features such as robustness and simplicity. No winding on the rotor of this type of motors allows reaching high speed which is desired for many applications. Drive circuits of SRMs also play an important role in their performance and operation. In this paper, a new bifilar drive circuit for this type of motors has been proposed. This novel configuration has been tested and investigated by PSIM software. Results show that the new bifilar drive circuit highly reduces the voltage stresses on semiconductor switches, and also considerably reduces the switching losses which are...

    Abstract
Regarding the increasing number of electrical devices in the smart homes that leads to increase in total electricity consumption and cost, it is essential to use energy management methods to reduce the electricity cost. However, this can cause resident's dissatisfaction. Hence, it is important to define a method in which cost and dissatisfaction be optimized simultaneously. Among different services, an electric vehicle is the one that can be used as an energy storage system, so it can reduce the daily cost despite of increasing the total energy consumption. In this paper, we study the effect of the EV on the cost and dissatisfaction in our proposed method. © 2018 IEEE
