    A Successive Boundary Element Model for Investigation of Sloshing Frequencies and Equivalent Mechanical Model in Multi Baffled Containers

    Abstract
    This study presents a developed successive boundary element method to determine the sloshing natural frequencies, mode shapes and equivalent mechanical models for multi baffled 2D and axisymmetric containers with arbitrary geometries. The developed fluid model is based on the Laplace equation and Green's theorem. The governing equations of fluid dynamic and free surface boundary condition are also applied to proposed model. A zoning method is presented to model arbitrary arrangement of baffles in multi baffled axisymmetric tanks.     Dynamical tidal locking theory: A new source of the spin of dark matter halos

    Abstract
    We revisit the question of what mechanism is responsible for the spins of halos of dark matter. The answer to this question is of high importance for modeling galaxy intrinsic alignment, which can potentially contaminate current and future lensing data. In particular, we show that when the dark matter halos pass nearly each other in dense environments - namely halo assemblies - they swing and spin each other via exerting mutual tidal torques. We show that this has a significant contribution to the spin of dark matter halos comparable to that calculated by the so-called tidal torque theory.     Abstract
    We investigate the spin alignment of dark matter halos by considering a mechanism somewhat similar to tidal locking; we dub it tidal-locking theory (TLT). While tidal torque theory (TTT) is responsible for the initial angular momentum of dark matter halos, TLT explains the angular momentum evolution during nonlinear ages. Our previous work showed that close encounters between halos could drastically change their angular momentum. This paper argues that TLT predicts partial alignment between the speed and spin direction for large high-speed halos.     In this study, friction stir soldering (FSS) as an emerging joining process with the aid of a preliminary electroplating process was utilized for the first time to fabricate graphite-copper lap joints aimed at investigation of rotational speed influence on joint interface microstructure and mechanical behaviour. To do so, an Sn-37Pb solder foil was placed between a copper sheet and a copper-coated graphite substrate after which a rotating pin-free tool was plunged into the copper sheet and allowed to travel along the joint.     In this project rotational barrier of C-N bond in 2-Cyanoethyl-Pyrrolidine-1-Carbodithioate has been studied using DNMR spectroscopy. Spectra were taken at various temperatures, and then with simulation of bandshape broadening pattern, rate constants of exchanges were obtained for all temperatures.     The Origin of Angular Momentum in Cosmological Structures

    Explaining the angular momentum of the cosmological structures is an essential part of the structure formation theory, and it is not fully understood yet. The Tidal Torque Theory (TTT) is the standard explanation of the initial angular momentum of the halos based on the gravitational instability picture. It predicts the angular momentum growth with linear approximation and has been confirmed for linear stages of proto-halos, but the final halo is a highly non-linear object. In this study, nutrient removal from municipal wastewater by Chlorella vulgaris in batch culture was investigated. Carbon dioxide was supplied from sodium hydrogen carbonate. Effect of parameters including light intensity, sodium hydrogen carbonate concentration, and daily illumination time on the productivity of biomass and lipid was investigated.     The free vibrations analysis of liquid sloshing is carried out for arbitrary axisymmetric containers under low-gravity condition using boundary element method. A potential flow theory is used to model the flow field and the free-surface Laplace-Young equation is used to model the surface tension effect.     A numerical model is developed for investigation of coupled dynamics of fuel contained elastic launch vehicles in planar atmospheric flight. Finite element method along with the linear quasi-steady piston aerodynamic theory is used for developing an aeroelastic model. A reduced order boundary element model is used for modeling the liquid sloshing in tanks. The interaction of sloshing and aeroelasticity is studied using stability analysis of the coupled system.
