A New Model for Marketing Service Composition Considering Time to Market Objective Function Based on a Modular Approach

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Mohammadi, Amir (Author) ; Fattahi Valilai, Omid (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Considering continuous growth of communication infrastructure and devices and the number of service and manufacturing firms, competition in the market is becoming tougher and more complicated as time goes by. In this situation firms need to be adapted to the varying needs of the market and keep the quality of their products high and their prices stable to exist and grow. Accordingly, one of the consequences of current competitive market is the continuous decrease in firms' products and services life cycles. Following this situation, firms and researchers have employed different tools to approach this goal which is shortening products and services life cycles. One of the most efficient tools...

A Navol Strategic Decision Making Framework for Project Machines & Resources Management

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Khavaninzadeh, Esmaeel (Author) ; Fattahi Valilai, Omid (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Organizations adopts different strategies to manage their resources and equipment. This strategies can be categorized through two distinct group. The first group is outsourcing and the second one is in-house management. In some organizations due to the strategic aspects of the equipment, the competitive advantage or restrictive policies, there is a low tendency for outsourcing. Through this approach, the equipment and resources are idle due to partial need on organization. This causes a high amount of investment blockage which faces the organization with high cost of missing investment opportunities. Through the strategic insight, the capitals which have a high potential for making revenue...

    Abstract
Prognostics is necessary to ensure the reliability and safety of lithium-ion batteries for hybrid electric vehicles or satellites. This process can be achieved by capacity estimation, which is a direct fading indicator for assessing the state of health of a battery. However, the capacity of a lithium-ion battery onboard is difficult to monitor. This paper presents a data-driven approach for capacity estimation. First, new features are extracted from cyclic charge/discharge cycles and used as health indicators. Three algorithms are used to characterize the relationship between extracted features and battery capacity. Decision tree, random forest and boosting algorithms are trained using a...

    Abstract
The FT reaction involves the conversion of syngas which is derived from natural gas or coal to different kinds of products according to the operating conditions and the type of the catalyst. In other words, it is a practical way to convert solid fuel (coal) and natural gas to various hydrocarbons (C1-C60) and oxygenates such as alkanes, alkenes etc. The main products of the reaction are naphtha and gasoline. This paper deals with developing a proper product distribution model for FT process using the appropriate kinetic model, optimizing the respective rate constants while applying them in product distribution equations. The results revealed only 8.09% deviations from the olefin experimental...

    Abstract
In the present work, accumulative roll bonding (ARB) was used as an effective method for manufacturing nanoparticle/Al composite filler metals of tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding. After welding, the distribution of ceramic nanoparticles and mechanical properties of welds were investigated. By applying ARB, ceramic nanoparticles were uniformly dispersed in the composite filler metals. Consequently, the welds produced by these filler metals had a uniform dispersion of ceramic nanoparticles in their compositions. The test results showed that the yield strength of welds was greatly increased when using the nanoparticle/Al composite filler metals. The improvement in the yield strength was...

    Abstract
WO3 is known as a photocatalyst in the visible light region, but with lower efficiency compared to more interesting semiconductor photocatalysts such as TiO2 and ZnO. Many attempts have been done to increase the efficiency of this photocatalyst by incorporating metal and metal oxide nanoparticles or recently carbon nanotubes. On the other hand, application of graphene, as an unrolled carbon nanotube, for increasing the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 and ZnO has shown positive results. Furthermore, it was reported that such semiconductor photocatalysts (and very recently WO3) can photocatalytically reduce the chemically exfoliated graphene oxide sheets under UV-vis irradiation.
    In this...

Graphene nanogrids fabricated by graphene nanoribbons obtained through oxidative unzipping of multi-walled carbon nanotubes, used as two-dimensional selective templates for accelerated differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs), isolated from umbilical cord blood, into osteogenic lineage. The biocompatible and hydrophilic graphene nanogrids showed high actin cytoskeleton proliferations that coinciding with patterns of the nanogrids. The amounts of proliferations found are slightly better than proliferation on hydrophilic graphene oxide (GO) sheets, and significantly higher than non-uniform proliferations on hydrophobic reduced graphene oxide (rGO) sheets and polydimethylsiloxane...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Ghorbani, Fatemeh (Author) ; Akhavan, Omid (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Graphene is a two dimensional lattice which is created from carbon atoms. Having special feature, it has such various medical usage, for example in diagnosing and treating cancer. Adding a particular factor to graphene could improve their efficiency. In comparis on with graphene itself, graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide are much more successful in diagnosing and treating than others because of their higher hygroscopic. Recent studies state that hydrogenized combinations including hydrogenized graphene show desired results. Due to its higher hygroscopic and the possibility of adherence to the cells, hydrogenized graphene could be very effective in diagnosing and treating the sarcomas....
