This research deals with the Unrelated Parallel Machine Scheduling (UPMS) problem with sequence dependent setup times and release dates and machines eligibility. The studied objective is the minimization of total tardiness and earliness.The due dates and release times of the jobs are distinct which complicates the problem. Abstract
To get a more accurate model for simulation of single electron transistors (SETs), we have proposed a new macromodel that includes the ability of electron tunneling time calculation. In our proposed model, we have modified the previous models and applied some basic corrections to their formulas. In addition, we have added a switched capacitor circuit, as a quantizer, to calculate the electron tunneling time. We used HSPICE for high-speed simulation and observed that the simulation results obtained from our model matched more closely with that of SIMON 2.0. In this paper, we compute lower and upper bounds for the throughput capacity of an ad hoc network overlaid on a cellular network. The ad hoc network is comprised of a specific number of wireless cognitive nodes that opportunistically exploit the inactive frequency channels in the cellular network. In this respect, we employ a model recently proposed for single-channel mobile ad-hoc network after some minor modifications. Abstract
In this paper, a novel classification approach is presented. This approach uses fuzzy if-then rules for classification task and employs a hybrid optimization method to improve the accuracy and comprehensibility of obtained outcome. The mentioned optimization method has been formulated by simulated annealing and genetic algorithm. In fact, the genetic operators have been used as perturb functions at the core of simulated annealing heuristic. Intrusion detection systems (IDS) are tools located inside computer networks that analyze the network traffics. In this paper, a novel fuzzy-evolutionary system is presented to effectively detect the intrusion in computer networks. This system utilizes a hybridization of simulated annealing heuristic and tabu search algorithm to improve the accuracy of fuzzy if-then rules as intrusion detectors. Graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets were hybridized with Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) to form magnetic GO (MGO) and were further labeled by [68Ga]GaCl3 as a potential drug delivery system. Paper chromatography, Fourier transform infra red (FTIR) spectroscopy, low-angle X-ray diffraction (XRD), CHN and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were utilized to characterize the trinary composite ([68Ga]@MGO). The main purpose of this paper is to embed data in the transform domain of audio signals. Data embedding is similar to Quantization Index Modulation (QIM) approach. But the embedding process is performed in a novel transformation named PPG (Point to Point Graph) which converts the audio signal to a set of points in the Cartesian Coordinates. In this paper, we propose a new model to evaluate the behavior of cognitive radios (CRs). In this model, we consider a specific number of primary users having independent probabilistic on-off behavior. In addition, a specific number of opportunistic cognitive radios in saturation mode is assumed. Abstract
In this paper we propose a new method to recover images corrupted with salt and pepper noise. The proposed method uses ordered statistics filtering and soft-decisioning in successive approximations to find the locations and amplitudes of all the impulses. In our method we use soft-decision to generate a mask which is based on histogram distributions in local windows to distinguish impulsive noise from legitimate pixels. This mask is used to obtain an estimate of the original image by an iterative method. Treated waste water (TWW) quality varies due to the occurrence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) up to low μg L−1. In this study, a non-targeted metabolomic analysis was performed on lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) exposed to 4 PAHs by irrigation. The plants were watered with different concentrations of contaminants (0–100 μg L−1) for 39 days under controlled conditions and then harvested, extracted and analyzed by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Here, a solution combustion method was employed to construct a photoanode based on bismuth vanadate (BV) composition. To curtail the fast charge recombination, phosphorus-doped g-C3N4 nanosheets (PCNS) in combination with BV are considered a potential approach. The prepared solution combustion facilitated the formation of a BiVO4-PCNS (BV-PCNS) hybrid photoanode with worm-like morphology with a simple setup.
