Design, Simulation and Fabrication of Thz Absorber for Thermal Superconducting Detector

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Zeynab, Alipour Gougeh (Author) ; Fardmanesh, Mehdi (Supervisor)
    Abstract
At almost all frequencies, we have good methods to generate and detect electromagnetic radiations. One crucial exception is the low terahertz range, where despite intensive research there is a severe lack of proper devices for many applications in this frequency range such as oscillators and detectors that is so-called THz gap and includes 0.3 to 10 THz spectrum. There are different types of THz detectors but bandwidth of dection of most of them is narrow. Among these detectors, superconducting transition edge balometer detector has detectivity in wide frequency range. But generally, detectivity of these detectors strongly depends on their ability to absorb radiations of electromagnetic waves...

Design of Optoelectronic Nose based on Core-Shell Plasmonic Nanostructure for Visual Detection and Discrimination of Environmental Pollutants

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Feyzollahi, Zeynab (Author) ; Hormozi Nezhad, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
The unique optical properties of gold nanorods (AuNRs), arising from their anisotropic structure, have made them a subject of great interest across diverse applications. AuNRs exhibits two distinct localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), that, the color variation of AuNRs is primarily attributed to the dependence of their longitudinal LSPR peak on their aspect ratio; even minor shifts in the longitudinal position can lead to significant color changes. This high sensitivity and broad spectral tunability render AuNRs ideal candidates for the design of highly accurate and visually discernible colorimetric sensors. This study explores the design and development of colorimetric sensors based...
