In recent years, a new architecture named Information-Centric Networks has been proposed to change the current host-centric internet model to a content-centric one. One of the key components of these networks is the ability to store content in the ubiquitous caches of network routers. By caching content in routers, network performance can be improved via delivering content from routers closer to users. In these networks, content can be cached in all the routers of the path.
