Reverse osmosis (RO) is by far the most widely used membrane desalination process worldwide. The RO process depends on the properties of semi-permeable membranes which allow the separation of water from a salt solution by applying external pressure higher than the osmotic pressure on the seawater. Free or restricted shock separation phenomena can occur inside a thrust optimized parabolic (TOP) nozzle during over-expanded operations. In the case of restricted shock separation, a cap shock pattern forms in the nozzle which leads to a substantial total pressure drop. This induces further related issues in the process of ground testing of such nozzles using a second throat exhaust diffuser (STED). In this work, we present a multi-objective algorithm to optimize the megawatt blade geometry. In this algorithm, the mass of blade and the wind turbine annual energy production (AEP) are considered as the objective functions. In this paper, the Extended Kalman filtering (EKF) approach has been used to infer gene regulatory networks using time-series gene expression data. Gene expression values are considered stochastic processes and the gene regulatory network, a dynamical nonlinear stochastic model. Using these values and a modified Kalman filtering approach, the model's parameters and consequently the interactions amongst genes are predicted. The idea behind this strategy originates from the need for automatic control of computational grids during iterative procedures utilized by fluid flow solvers. A very simple and computationally low cost numerical algorithm is developed to generate a quasi-structured data structure for an unstructured grid. To achieve this purpose, the data structure in the matrices of an unstructured grid is classified to address the element layers and node lines in the computational domain. In the present study, the experimental analysis of a second-throat exhaust diffuser (STED) performance has been conducted for the high altitude test of a parabolic bell-type nozzle. The diffuser starting performance has been explored considering two different approaches, namely the gradual and instantaneous increase of the nozzle chamber pressure. In this work, a new method is presented to control the propagation of the boundary deformation within an unstructured mesh domain effectively and to avoid inefficient and unnecessary grid movement computations. In this thesis, with a review on policy simulation and economic reform analysis literature, we design a suitable method to analyze the effects of monetizing energy carriers subsidy on welfare criteria of Iranian households. The selected method is limited general equilibrium that needs demand estimates of goods, services and energy. In firs step,based on 13 years of data on “Iranian Households’ Expenditures and Income” surveys, data are provided as a pseudo-panel. Demand equations are estimated using “Seemingly Unrelated Regressions” for panel data, and elasticities are calculated. Adverse Selection in Iranian Life Insurance Market

Abstract
This thesis finds evidence for the presence of adverse selection in the Iranian life insurance market. We use a unique dataset including more than one million policyholders’ profile information alongside their chosen life insurance coverage from the largest Iranian insurance company. Our results not only find evidence in support of adverse selection in this market, but also consider the magnitude of adverse selection relatively notable. Moreover, we found that in addition to the coverage, the other dimensions of contract could be the potential source of adverse selection.
