Abstract
In this paper we introduce and propose novel signaling methods and receiver structures based on advanced binary optical logic gates for fiber-optic code division multiple access (FO-CDMA) systems using all-optical signal processing. In the proposed system the users of the network are categorized into multiple classes. Users of each class transmit at the same power level but different from the levels of the other classes' users. Abstract
In this study, a new method for the simulation of the time-dependent behavior of actin cytoskeleton during cell shape change is proposed. For this purpose, a three-dimensional model of endothelial cell consisting of cell membrane, nucleus membrane, and main components of cytoskeleton, namely actin filaments, microtubules, and intermediate filaments is utilized. Actin binding proteins, which play a key role in regulating actin cytoskeleton behavior, are also simulated by using a novel technique. Abstract
We consider an index coding problem in which several transmitters deliver distinct files to a number of users with minimum delay. Each user has access to a subset of other files from the library, which can be used as side information. The information sent by the transmitters experience a linear transformation before being received at the users. By benefiting from the concept of Zero-Forcing in MIMO systems, we generalize the notion of MinRank characterization and the clique cover algorithm to accommodate this generalized setting. We show that increasing the number of transmitters can substantially reduce the delivery delay. IEEE

Large scale decentralized communication systems have motivated a new trend towards online routing where routing decisions are performed based on a limited and localized knowledge of the network. Geometrical greedy routing has been among the simplest and most common online routing schemes. Abstract
In this paper, we present and analyze a novel all-optical multilevel multiclass optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system, using optical analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and advanced optical logic gate elements. In such OCDMA network, users are distributed in Mdifferent classes. Furthermore, power level with which users in class j,j = 2⋯M, transmit optical pulses, is twice the power level at which users of class j - 1transmit their optical pulses. Abstract
A novel two-level signaling technique in OOC-based fiber-optic CDMA systems is proposed. Users of the system are categorized into two classes. Users of class 1 and 2 transmit the optical pulses at power level P and 2P respectively. We study two kinds of receiver structure for the proposed two-level system. For the first structure we use ordinary AND logic gate and for the second one we use optical ADC with AND logic gate structure. We obtain the system performance and we show that for the two-level signaling multi-access interference is considerably suppressed. Abstract
In this article we present an all passive optical iterative interference cancellation method for optical CDMA. We propose the receiver structure based on advanced binary optical logic gates (ABOLGs). Since the performance bottleneck in optical communication systems is the conversion from optical to electronic domains for optical detectors, the interference cancellation has been performed in the optical domain. Abstract
We show that multiple Abelian sectors with Stückelberg mass-mixing simply break supersymmetry via Fayet-Iliopoulos D-terms and straightforwardly mediate it to the other sectors. This mechanism naturally realizes a split supersymmetry spectrum for soft parameters. Scalar squared-masses (holomorphic and non-holomorphic) are induced through sizable portals and are not suppressed. Gaugino masses, a-terms and a μ-like term are generated by higher-dimensional operators and are suppressed. This article proposes a new distributed architecture for update message exchange inmassively multi-user virtual environments (MMVE) MMVE applications require delivery of updates among various locations in the virtual environment. The proposed architecture here exploits the location addressing of geometrical routing in order to alleviate the need for IP-specific queries. Abstract
This paper presents a new inference algorithm for Active Learning Method (ALM). ALM is a pattern-based algorithm for soft computing which uses the Ink Drop Spread (IDS) algorithm as its main engine for feature extraction. In this paper a fuzzy number is extracted from each IDS plane rather than the narrow path and spread as in previous approaches. In order to compare performance of the proposed algorithm with the original one, two functions which are widely used in literature are modeled as the benchmark. Abstract
Inferior temporal (IT) cortex is the most important part of the brain and plays an important role in response to visual stimuli. In this study, object decoding has been performed using neuron spikes in IT cortex region. Single Unit Activity (SUA) was recorded from 123 neurons in IT cortex. Pseudo-population firing rate vectors were created, then dimension reduction was done and an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) was used for object decoding. Object decoding accuracy was calculated for various window lengths from 50 ms to 200 ms and various window steps from 25 ms to 100 ms. The results show that 150 ms length and 50 ms window step size gives an optimum performance in average accuracy

Abstract
Applications in pervasive computing environment exploit information about the context of use, such as the location, tasks and preferences of the user, in order to adapt their behavior in response to changing operating environments and user requirements. Utilizing context with aid of ontology in data and model, decision support systems can provide better and more desirable support to their users. The effects and advantages of exploiting ontology in user modeling and DSS is discussed.
