Abstract
Magnesia–Doloma refractories are considered as a mixed product of alkali products i.e. sintered (fused) magnesia and doloma in which 50-80 wt% magnesia is contained. These refractories enjoy some advantages such as high slag resistance corrosion, high-temperature performance, potential for production of pure molten iron and low cost due to abundance of magnesia and doloma resources in access. However, there exist some problems with these refractories that render them unsuitable for some applications. Among these cases, poor resistance of hydration can be cited that may constrain the amount of this refractory in various industrial applications. In the present work, the addition effect of...

Abstract
Nano-titania, up to 8 wt%, was added to magnesite–dolomite refractory matrix. The phase and microstructure analyses of samples heated up to 1650 °C for 3 h were studied by XRD and SEM/EDS, respectively. The physical properties are reported in terms of bulk density, apparent porosity, and hydration resistance. In addition, the mechanical behavior was studied by a cold crushing strength (CCS), and flexural strength at 1200 °C test. As a result, it was found that the presence of nano-TiO2 in the magnesite–dolomite matrix induced titanates formation (Mg2TiO4 and CaTiO3), which improved the sintering process. Nano-titania influenced the bonding structure through a direct bonding enhancement. In...

Abstract
The main drawback of lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries which leads to a short lifetime, is the shuttle effect during the battery operation. One of the solutions to mitigate the shuttle effect is the utilization of interlayers. Herein, graphene oxide (GO) paper as an interlayer has been implemented between the sulfur cathode fabricated by the vapor deposition process as a binder-free electrode and a separator in a Li-S battery in order to gain a sufficient capacity. The morphological characteristics and electrochemical performance of the fabricated electrode have been investigated. The fabricated battery demonstrates an initial discharge capacity of 1265.46 mAh g-1 at the current density of 100...

Abstract
Global warming and other adverse environmental effects of fossil fuels have forced humans to consider clean and renewable energy resources. In this context, hydrogen production from water splitting reaction is a key approach. In order to reduce required overpotential for water oxidation reaction, it is necessary to use low cost and earth abundant electrocatalysts like Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni and Zn nanostructures. Herein, cobalt nanostructures on steel-mesh substrate were applied. Electrochemical method was used for growth of Co nanoflakes because of its simplicity and scalability for commercial approach. On the other hand, using carbonaceous support layers including nanomaterials such as...

Abstract
Herein, the effect of electrodeposition time on the super-capacitive performance of three-dimensional (3D) MnO2/g-C3N4 heterostructured electrodes was investigated. MnO2 nanoparticles were electrodeposited on the g-C3N4 nanosheets drop-casted on the Ni foam substrate. The microstructural analysis, carried out by FE-SEM and TEM, confirmed the homogeneous distribution of MnO2 nanoparticles on g-C3N4 nano-sheet layers. The electrochemical capacitive performances of the MnO2/g-C3N4 electrodes were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge/discharge tests, and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS). The obtained results suggested that the supercapacitor (SC) performance of all...

Abstract
In this letter, the Gaussian two-way relay channel with direct links is investigated in which two users aim at exchanging their messages with the help of a relay node. We propose a new lattice-based compress-and-forward strategy and obtain its achievable rate-region. We show that the proposed scheme is superior to all previously known achievable schemes for channel gains larger than one. In particular, under the symmetric case, the proposed scheme is able to achieve a capacity region within 0.5 bit or (1/2)log 3 ≅ 0.79 bit, depending on the power of the relay

Abstract
TiO2, transition metal (Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn)- and aluminum-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by the sol-gel technique. The sulfated catalysts were prepared by the impregnation method with H2SO4 solution. The catalysts were characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD), BET surface area measurement, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) techniques. The sulfate content of the metal-incorporated samples was considerably higher than for SO4 2-/TiO2. The metal doping brought about a considerable reduction in the extent of sulfate loss from the catalyst surface due to the wide dispersion on the surface. The SO4 2-/TiO2 and SO4 2-/M/TiO2...
