    Abstract
The segmental translator linear switched reluctance motor (STLSRM) is a special type of linear switched reluctance motor (LSRM) that has more output power than its conventional type. Therefore, it can be a good choice for certain applications. Heat is one of the factors limiting the output in machines. Therefore, predicting the thermal distribution of machine is as important as the magnetic design. A comprehensive thermal model is presented based on the lumped parameter approach for STLSRM, which predicts temperature distribution in different parts of this motor, including slot winding, end-winding, stator pole, stator yoke, and the moving part. Considering that the proposed thermal model...

    Abstract
Recently, the linear switched reluctance motor with segmental translator has been introduced as a new type of improved linear switched reluctance motor, which uses less iron compared to conventional motor. Therefore, this motor has lower iron losses and higher power/volume ratio. In order to model linear switched reluctance motor with segmental translator, the finite element method often gives accurate results. However, in finite element analysis, if the details of meshing or many other analyzes are considered, a lot of time must be spent. Therefore, it is necessary to use faster methods to obtain the characteristics of this motor. In this research thesis, a magnetic equivalent circuit model...

Does the short-term boost of renewable energies guarantee their stable long-term growth? Assessment of the dynamics of feed-in tariff policy

    Abstract
Feed-in tariff (FiT) is one of the most efficient ways that many governments throughout the world use to stimulate investment in renewable energies (REs) technology. For governments, financial management of the policy could be challenging as it needs a considerable amount of budget to support RE producers during the long remuneration period. In this paper, it has been illuminated that the early growth of REs capacity could be a temporary boost. And the socio-economic structure of the system will backlash the policy if some social mechanisms are not considered. Social tolerance for paying REs tax and potential investors’ trust emanated from budget-related mechanisms -which have rarely been...
