Abstract
In this paper, we enhance previously suggested vulnerability estimation techniques by presenting a detailed modeling technique based on Input-to-Output Masking (IOM). Moreover we use our model to compute the System-level Vulnerability Factor (SVF) for data-path components in a highperformance processor. As we show, recent suggested estimation techniques overlook the issue of error masking, mainly focusing on time periods in which an error could potentially propagate in the system. This paper presents a low cost fault-tolerant technique so called OWHR (Operand Width Aware Hardware Reuse) to ALU design in embedded processors. The OWHR technique is motivated by two facts: (1) Many of the produced and consumed values are narrow-width values in the embedded processors, i.e. they have leading zeros or ones in their most significant bits. Petroleum contains a large variety of metal compounds with vanadium and nickel being the major metals. Some 6–34% of the total vanadium content is made up out of metallo-oxo-porphyrins, also referred to as petroporphyrins. Metalloporphyrins have long excited interest as oxidation and epoxidation catalysts. Mass transfer rates to the drops in liquid-liquid extraction equipment are often likely to be reduced by the presence of surface active contaminants. This reduction in mass transfer is said to be due to a reduction in terminal velocity, and to changes in pattern of internal circulation. In the first part of this thesis, the application of core-shell magnetic nanoparticles supported V(V), Mo(VI) and Mn(III) complexes in the catalytic oxidation and reduction reactions was discussed. A magnetically recyclable vanadium(V) catalyst was synthesized by covalent anchoring of VO(salen)Cl on silica coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles. These nanoparticles were efficient catalysts for selective oxidation of sulfides to corresponding sulfoxides with urea hydrogen peroxide in excellent yields. A molybdenum complex, [MoO2 Cl2 (DMSO)2 ], was immobilized on amino propyl and Schiff base modified magnetic Fe3 O4 @SiO2 nanoparticles by covalent linkage. A molybdenum complex was immobilized on Schiff-base-modified magnetic and non-magnetic particles by covalent linkage. The characterizations of the obtained materials were carried out by means of TG–DTG, SEM, TEM, VSM, XPS, IR, and Raman microprobe techniques. All of them exhibited efficient activities in the oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides by urea hydrogen peroxide oxidant. The advantages and disadvantages of these catalysts are discussed in detail. The glucose-based ligand, N-salicylidene-d-glucosamine (Sal-d-glsmN), was readily obtained by reaction of salicylaldehyde (Hsal) with the d-glucosamine hydrochloride. Ligand Sal-d-glsmN was found to be an efficient ligand in the palladium-catalyzed Suzuki and Heck C-C coupling reactions in aqueous medium under aerobic condition. It was found that the use of Sal-d-glsmN/Pd(OAc) 2 system as a catalyst, aryl halides undergo Suzuki and Heck cross-couplings, respectively, with arylboronic acids and olefins to give the desired products in moderate to excellent yields

Bashagard district is one of the important malaria endemic areas in southern Iran. From this region a total of 16,199 indigenous cases have been reported in recent years. The aim of this study was to determine the situation of the disease and provide the risk map for the area. ArcGIS9.2 was used for mapping spatial distribution of malaria incidence. Effect of relaxation time on the performance of photonic crystal optical bistable switches based on Kerr nolinearity is discussed. This paper deals with optical pulses with the duration of about 50 ps. In this work, an optimum frequency is found for the operation of single cavity photonic switches. At this optimum point, the transmission contrast of ON and OFF states takes its highest value, while keeping the device power threshold relatively low and the device speed acceptably high. Then, the dynamic behavior of a typical single cavity all optical switch is investigated in the optimum operation point through temporal Coupled Mode Theory. Two enantiomerically pure chiral dioxidomolybdenum(VI) complexes (1 and 2) of the type [MoO2L] (L = dianionic, tetradentate ONNO-ligand) were synthesized and investigated in enantioselective oxidation reactions. The solid-state structures of complex 1 and 2, determined via single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed two fundamentally different coordination geometries: a C1-symmetric cis-β isomer (Λ-1), and a C2-symmetric cis-α isomer (Δ-2).
