Experimental Study of Biocompatibility and Proliferation of Stem Cells on the Scaffold with Natural Structure

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Zamani, Masoud (Author) ; Vosoughi, Manouchehr (Supervisor) ; Alemzadeh, Iran (Supervisor) ; Haghighipour, Nooshin (Supervisor)
    Abstract
The heart diseases and in particular coronary artery disease have been vastly increased in recent years. Bypass operation is the major recognized way of this disease treatment however, one third of patients don’t have the suitable autologous vein for this operation. It should be noted that for this operation a suitable conduit with diameter as narrow as possible is needed. On the other hand, usage of synthetic polymers won’t be suitable for this operation due to the coagulation forming. The only way to overcome this problem is the use of tissue engineering with the aid of scaffold and autologous cells with the natural tissue function, which reconstructed the desire tissue causing no...

LoRa Network Optimization with Emphasis on Power Consumption and Scalability

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Haghighipour, Saeed (Author) ; Atarodi, Mojtaba (Supervisor)
    Abstract
The Internet of Things is one of those concepts that, while it has gained significant importance in recent years in scientific and industrial communities, still faces various challenges, such as power consumption and scalability. In networks powered by batteries, it is necessary to optimize power consumption to extend the network's lifespan to the maximum possible extent. Additionally, considering the large number of connected devices in the Internet of Things network, it is essential to optimize the number of devices connected per gateway, ultimately reducing the need for fewer gateways in a network. In this research, we utilized simulation-based methods to extract output parameters of a...

    Abstract
Autologous grafts, as the gold standard for vascular bypass procedures, associated with several problems that limit their usability, so tissue engineered vessels have been the subject of an increasing number of works. Nevertheless, gathering all of the desired characteristics of vascular scaffolds in the same construct has been a big challenge for scientists. Herein, a composite silk-based vascular scaffold (CSVS) was proposed to consider all the mechanical, structural and biological requirements of a small-diameter vascular scaffold. The scaffold's lumen composed of braided silk fiber-reinforced silk fibroin (SF) sponge covalently heparinized (H-CSVS) using Hydroxy-Iron Complexes (HICs) as...
