Analysis of Wireless Sensor Network QoS for in Smart Grid
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Sanaei, Esmail (Supervisor) ; Jahangir, Amir Hossein (Supervisor)
Abstract
Recently there is a huge growth in industrial automation. Industrial automation is defined as trying to do some tasks automatically and without direct human intervention. Using industrial automation may help increasing efficiency, quality and safety. Industrial automation also could increase Competitiveness and flexibility of industries. In human life there is a large area of activities that automation could be used and different industries like oil and gas companies, electrical generation and distribution industries, medical companies, textile and other industries could use automation to increase their efficiency. But recently there is a growing demand for building automation and home...
Simulation of Micro Swimmer in Fluid at Low Reynolds Number
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Moosavi, Ali (Supervisor) ; Sadr Hosseini, Hani (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this study, two micro swimmers have been modeled using computational fluid dynamics and the motion specifications have been presented. The mechanisms can be used for different applications like drug delivery, monitoring, doing tasks in dangerous environments like robots and etc… . These moving mechanisms are inspired from a type of plankton named “cladoceran Podon Intermedius”, accordingly we have compared our results with data obtained by particle image velocimetry. For CFD simulation, an unstructured 2-dimensional mesh has been generated. Dynamic meshing has also been utilized in a meshing zone around the moving parts. Unsteady simulations were run for axisymmetric and plane symmetry...
Deep Learning for Action Recognition
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Vosoughi Vahdat, Bijan (Supervisor) ; Mohammadzadeh, Narjesolhoda (Supervisor)
Abstract
Computers, laptops, tablets and even cell phones are capable of recording, producing, storing and sharing videos. With the increasing availability of movies and more and easier access to them, the need for understanding videos has increased. Due to the limited human ability in analyzing videos, there is an increasing demand for intelligent systems to analyze videos and recognize the actions in them.Action recognition is the classification of the action performed by the individual in the video, and there are different types of action recognition depending on the nature of the data and the way it will be processed. Vision-based human action recognition is affected by several challenges due to...
