Detecting Successful Releases in Mobile Apps

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Haji Hosseini, Mohammad Hadi (Author) ; Heydarnoori, Abbas (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In the current digital era, the large number of mobile developers and android applications has led to intense competition. Users can easily access many android applications to meet their needs. This abundance of available software makes it difficult for developers to attract and retain users, as they can easily switch from one application to another. This switch can happen if the current application does not meet the user’s needs, has issues, or if a better alternative is available. Therefore, developers must focus on keeping their users satisfied. To ensure user satisfaction, developers need to address user needs effectively. This includes fixing reported issues, adding new features, and...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Hosseini Saravani, Habib (Author) ; Bahrani, Mohammad (Supervisor) ; Veisi, Hadi (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Neural Networks have been applied to Language Modeling to solve a major problem that N-gram language models could not overcome: discreteness of the words. Generally, neural networks were successful in solving this problem and improved Language Modeling by reducing the perplexity of the models. Neural networks can find grammatical and semantic connections among the words using word embedding which maps each word to a low dimensional feature vector of real numbers. In this research, different kinds of neural network applied to Language Modeling has been reviewed. Also, it has been tried to reduce the perplexity of Persian language models on a 100-million scale data set using a single-layer...

Mathematical Object and Logical Form in Homotopy Type Theory

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Haji Mohammadzadeh, Mohammad Aref (Author) ; Ardeshir, Mohammad (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Arising from the intersection of two modern ideas in logic and mathematics, namely Type Theory - specifically Martin-Löf’s intuitionistic type theory, and Homotopy Theory, Homotopy Type Theory has introduced a novel formalism that formalizes every mathematical object - including constructions, definitions, and proofs - in a specific and fundamentally different way from other interpretive frameworks (such as set theory), bringing forth new results - both philosophically and mathematically. The first goal of this research is to understand the meaning of Homotopy Type Theory as a foundation for mathematics through exploring this new formalism. The second goal of this research is to understand...

    , Article International Journal of Applied Mechanics ; Volume 9, Issue 6 , 2017 ; 17588251 (ISSN) Hosseini, M ; Haghshenas Gorgani, H ; Shishesaz, M ; Hadi, A ; Sharif University of Technology
    2017
    Abstract
This paper studies stress distribution in a single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) under internal pressure with various chirality. Strain gradient theory is used to capture the size-dependent behavior of the SWCNT. Minimum total potential energy principle is successfully applied to derive the governing differential equation and its associated boundary conditions. Due to complexity of the governing differential equation and boundary conditions, numerical scheme is used to solve the problem. Comparing the results based on strain gradient theory and that of classical elasticity shows a major difference between these two methods. However, a close examination of the results indicates that both...

Design and Real-time Code-in-the-Loop Implementation of a Cooperative Inertial Navigation Algorithm

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Zarein, Mohammad Ghasem (Author) ; Nobahari, Hadi (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In this study, the cooperative inertial navigation systems are used to prevent the error growth of the inertial navigation system in unmanned aerial vehicles that fly in group. Here, the navigation problem is defined for a group of unmanned vehicles, flying with full six degrees of freedom and the objective is to estimate the navigation information of all cooperators. Due to the nonlinear equations, the decentralized extended Kalman filter is used to estimate the states of the system. This means that there is a Kalman filter in each vehicle. The inputs of this filter are the range and the bearing angles between the vehicle and the cooperators, the estimated position of the cooperators and...
