Examination and Critique of Susan George’s Ideas Concerning the Relation of Religion and Technology

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Hajikazem, Hojjatollah (Author) ; Taghavi, Mostafa (Supervisor)
    Abstract
This article investigate about Susan George’s ideas concerning the relation of religion and technology and examine her point of view. George, searches synergy between religion and technology and tries to develop basis of artificial intelligence by religion. She provide answers to some philosophical concerns about technology through religion and tries to prove that technological morality needs religion. We show that some of her Assumptions is not through her conclusions. George, notices to the help of technology to religion for providing a new expression. We examine her clams about relation between technology and Islam

Performance of NiTiO3 for Light Harvesting and Electron-Hole Separation of TiO2-Based Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Seyed Abolghasem, Helia Sadat (Author) ; Mohammadi, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Dye sensitized solar cells are one of the cheap and available technologies that have attracted the attention of many researchers. Many factors such as morphology, microstructure, phase composition and the arrangement of photoanode electrode layers have an effect on the photovoltaic properties of DSSCs. Different approaches have been used to improve the efficiency of this type of cells. Among these approaches, we can mention the use of a mixture of different phases of titanium dioxide and the use of perovskite titanate structures as photoanodes. In the current study, the performance of nickel titanate on light absorption and electron-hole separation in titanium dioxide-based dye-sensitized...

Blood Pressure Estimation from PPG Signal Using Dynamic Time Warping Based Methods

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Hajikazem, Helia (Author) ; Mohammadzade, Narjes alhoda (Supervisor) ; Behrozi, Hamid (Co-Supervisor)
    Abstract
By continuously measuring blood pressure, we can prevent the irreversible effects of high blood pressure. With the traditional method of using a cuff, it is not possible to measure blood pressure continuously during the day, so for continuous monitoring of blood pressure, it is necessary to use a method without the need for a cuff. Based on previous studies, to estimate blood pressure, Photoplethysmogram and ECG signal features, or temporal and morphological features of Photoplethysmogram signal have been used. In methods that use ECG signals, signal recording is difficult, and methods that use both PPG and ECG signals are even more complex. Using only PPG signals also has its problems....
