In this research, first of all, the main question of Heidegger and his epoch is investigated. If we read Heidegger along the tradition of German philosophy, then it is perceived that the problem of science is the most central subject matter standing against Heidegger. My question is this: how Heidegger reaches to this existential phenomenological view about science. The observed response of medium rise buildings during sever earthquakes worldwide has indicated that RC buildings with shear walls behave considerably better than other buildings. The conviction that shear walls are inherently brittle still prevails amongst engineers, and therefore, they usually prefer to choose moment resisting RC frames without shear walls. The second-order rate coefficients for aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction between 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene and aniline have been measured in aqueous solutions of ethanol and methanol at 25°C. The plots of rate constants versus mole fraction of water show a maximum in all-aqueous solutions. This study aims to show the efficiency of a proposed spectral matching technique for the reduction of required ground motions in the dynamic time history analysis. In this non-stationary spectral matching approach, unconstrained optimization is employed to adjust the signal to match a target spectrum. Adjustment factors of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) coefficients associated with the signals are then considered as decision variables and the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is employed to find the optimum values of DWT coefficients. The effects of the residual stress field resulting from shot peening and the indentation technique were investigated in relation to fatigue crack closure and crack growth behaviour. Compact Specimens of 20NiCrMo2 were used in this investigation. The regions of residual stress field were located behind the fatigue crack tip. Crack closure behaviour was measured with back face strain and crack mouth opening displacement gauges. Crack length was monitored by the compliance and microscopic methods. Abstract
Artificial Life can be used as an agent training approach in large state spaces. This paper presents an artificial life method to increase the training speed of some speech recognizer agents which where previously trained by genetic algorithms. Using this approach, vertical training (genetic mutations and selection) is combined with horizontal training (individual learning through reinforcement learning) and results in a much faster evolution than simple genetic algorithm. Non-statistical dynamics are those dynamical systems for which a large subset of points in the phase space (positive measure subset) have non-statistical behavior, meaning that the orbit of these points does not have asymptotic distribution in the phase space. We introduce two new classes of these kinds of dynamics: non-statistical rational maps on the Reimann sphere and non-statistical Anosov-Katok maps of the annulus.
