Gene expression microarrays include thousands of probes spotted on their surface to measure the expression level of a set of genes. Identifying the amount of a transcript level by hybridization, each probe is complementary to a fragment of a specific gene transcripts. Although probes are designed to avoid crosshybridization to non-specific transcripts, occurrences of cross-hybridizations is inevitable due to massive probes that are spotted on microarrays. Knowing the rate of evaporation from surface water resources such as channels and reservoirs is essential for precise management of the water balance. Few detailed evaporation studies exist for small lakes or reservoirs in arid regions of the world. Soft-errors are increasingly considered as a major cause for computer system failures. Software techniques are used as cost-effective and flexible techniques to tolerate soft-errors but the introduced overhead is not acceptable in some safety-critical real-time systems. In this paper we investigate a simple parametrization scheme of the quintessence model given by Wetterich [Phys. Lett. B 594, 17 (2004)]. The crucial parameter of this model is the bending parameter b, which is related to the amount of dark energy in the early universe. Using the linear perturbation and the spherical infall approximations, we investigate the evolution of matter density perturbations in the variable dark energy model, and obtain an analytical expression for the growth index f. Motorcycles are the third most common means of transportation in the megacity of Tehran. Hence, measurements of emission factors are essential for Tehran motorcycle fleets. In this study, 60 carburetor motorcycles of various mileages and engine displacement volumes were tested in a chassis dynamometer laboratory according to cold start Euro-3 emissions certification test procedures.
