Abstract
This study strives to solve the course scheduling problem based on the constraints in Sharif University. In course scheduling problem, first we need to assign each course to a professor (This is done according to professors’ preferences in Sharif University) then we assign each course to a classroom and a time slot subject to professors, classrooms and time constraints (For example no two courses can be assigned to the same classroom at the same time slot). If solved manually, the solving process will take several days and at best results in a feasible solution. The education department is responsible for scheduling 661courses in five days a week and assigning them to 56 classrooms...

Abstract
Statistical and biochemical studies have revealed non-random patterns in codon assignments. The canonical genetic code is known to be highly efficient in minimizing the effects of mistranslation errors and point mutations, since it is known that when an amino acid is converted to another due to error, the biochemical properties of the resulted amino acid are usually very similar to those of the original one. In this study, using altered forms of the fitness functions used in the prior studies, we have optimized the parameters involved in the calculation of the error minimizing property of the genetic code so that the genetic code outscores the random codes as much as possible. In this thesis, we simulate the competition between some investment strategies based on dividends with each other and with mean-variance strategy (Markowitz) in an evolutionary finance framework. We perform simulations by two different approaches. In the first one, we use real dividend data and, in the second one we use dividends that are generated according to a dividend factor model. The dividend factor model which relates the dividends to the macro-economic factors is estimated from data using principal component analysis. Localization procedures based on TOA and TDOA range measurements are considered in this paper. As of now, the optimal placement of fixed terminals to locate mobile terminals has been studied based on Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB). Knowing the rate of evaporation from surface water resources such as channels and reservoirs is essential for precise management of the water balance. Few detailed evaporation studies exist for small lakes or reservoirs in arid regions of the world. In this study, monthly evaporation was determined by Bowen Ratio Energy Budget technique (BREB) for Alghadir reservoir (Saveh, Iran) from 1995-2007 and compared with class-A pan. Gravitational Microlensing is one of the most powerful methods of detecting very low mass objects like Exoplanets and Brown dwarfs. The most important parameter that we can extract from a microlensing event is Einstein radius crossing time t_E. In this thesis, with performing Monte-Carlo simulation, we will obtain t_E distribution for brown dwarf population. Then we will show that this population can be a good candidate for very short microlensing events with t_E<2 days. The data set used in this analysis was taken in 2006 and 2007 seasons by the MOA-II survey, with the 1.8-m MOA-II telescope located at the Mt. John University Observatory, New Zealand

Abstract
Motorcycles are the third most common means of transportation in the megacity of Tehran. Hence, measurements of emission factors are essential for Tehran motorcycle fleets. In this study, 60 carburetor motorcycles of various mileages and engine displacement volumes were tested in a chassis dynamometer laboratory according to cold start Euro-3 emissions certification test procedures. For almost all of the tested samples, the average carbon monoxide (CO) emission factors were about seven times higher than the limits for Euro-3 certification.
